The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment while authorities attempted to track down the suspect. Later in the day, deputies received a call from a local woman who said her brother had returned home claiming he had been involved in an accident. The driver said he panicked, since he already had a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and turned over to vehicle crime detectives.
*A fire was reported at Sunridge Canyon Golf Course on Sept. 25. According to the report, the fire was most likely started by something smoldering in one of the garbage bags.
