Sheriff’s deputies responding to report of several people drinking at a residence on Almont Drive Friday, May 31, arrested a Fountain Hills man for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies stopped the man’s vehicle a short distance from where he was reported drinking.
Two juvenile males who were passengers in the vehicle were cited for curfew violation and released to their parents.
*On Tuesday, May 21, deputies received a report that someone had removed a 32-inch flat-screen television from the enclosed and secured patio area of a restaurant in the 11000 block of Saguaro Blvd.
*On Wednesday, May 22, a woman reported someone used her identification information to file a tax return.
*On Wednesday, May 22, a Fort McDowell man was arrested for trespassing on property in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. He was also cited for underage possession of alcohol.
*On Thursday, May 16, a town employee reported graffiti damage to an electrical box at Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards. Damage is estimated at $100.
*On Wednesday, May 15, a Scottsdale woman was arrested for DUI in the area of Avenue of the Fountains and Saguaro Boulevard. A deputy stopped the woman after she failed to stop for a stop sign. Charges were pending lab results from a blood test.
*On Wednesday, May 15, deputies received a report of criminal damage to a Red Box movie kiosk located in the 17000 block of Shea Boulevard. A touch screen was shattered. Damage is estimated at $700.
*On Saturday, May 4, a cellphone case was reported stolen from a store in the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains.
*On Thursday, May 23, deputies investigated a vehicle accident in the 15000 block of Ridgeway Drive. A motorist was backing from a driveway when they were struck by a vehicle traveling west on Ridgeway. There was minor damage.
*On Wednesday, May 22, there was a report that a Sheriff’s deputy struck a stop sign with his patrol vehicle at the intersection of La Montana Drive and El Lago Blvd.
*On Wednesday, May 29, a resident reported a diamond ring valued at $15,000 was stolen from a residence in the 15000 block Echo Hill. The report stated the house was on the market during April and real estate personnel and clients were in and out.
*On Tuesday, May 28, a deputy working undercover surveillance at a grocery store parking lot observed several people involved with a possible drug transaction. The deputy contacted the group and arrested a Fountain Hills man for possession of narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia.
*On Sunday, June 2, the owner of a Fountain Hills bar was cited for consuming alcohol while serving, and being intoxicated while serving.
*On Sunday, May 26, a Fountain Hills man reported his daughter’s cell phone valued at $400 had been stolen during a graduation party at their residence in the 14000 block of Wax Wing Court.
*On Wednesday, May 29, deputies received a report that someone had burglarized two vehicles parked in a driveway in the 15000 block of Palomino Blvd. A backpack was taken along with a wallet and its contents including a driver’s license, bank cards and $250 cash.
*On Friday, May 31, deputies investigated a collision on Summerhill Drive just west of Eagle Mountain Parkway. A vehicle making a right turn into the driveway at the Inn at Eagle Mountain was struck by a motorcycle traveling the same direction. There were no injuries and damage was minor. Due to conflicting statements by those involved no citations were issued.
*On Friday, May 31, a Fountain Hills man reported his vehicle had been struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked on the street in the 17000 block of Via Del Oro.
*On Friday, May 31, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man for falsely reporting an emergency and using a telephone to make threats or harassment. Deputies found the man standing in the driveway with a phone used to call to report an emergency; he said he had been drinking all day and wanted the attention.
*On Saturday, June 1, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for extreme DUI following a traffic stop at Saguaro Boulevard and La Montana Drive. A deputy stopped the woman after she failed to stop properly at a stop sign at the intersection.
