Overnight between Wednesday, July 3, and Thursday, July 4, someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 16700 block of El Lago Blvd. and stole property valued at approximately $400.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is reminding people once again to lock their vehicle and remove valuables when leaving even for just a moment.
Deputies responded to two reports of vehicle burglaries since July 4.
Overnight between Wednesday, July 3, and Thursday, July 4, someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 16700 block of El Lago Blvd. and stole property valued at approximately $400.
On Sunday, July 7, deputies received a report from someone who stopped at a restaurant on Shea Boulevard and had a laptop stolen from their vehicle while they were inside for about five minutes.
*On Thursday, July 4, an employee of a business in the 13700 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. reported a customer assaulted her by touching her inappropriately. Charges have been submitted on the suspect for assault.
*On Monday, July 8, a woman alleged a moving company employee assaulted her as she attempted to prevent him from leaving the residence in the 16700 block of Gunsight Drive when she believed she discovered items missing. Neither party wished to aid in prosecution.
*On Saturday, July 6, deputies arrested a woman for disorderly conduct after she was making unreasonable noise and throwing things from a balcony in the 13200 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. Deputies report the woman was intoxicated.
*On Wednesday, July 10, a resident of the 16800 block of El Lago Blvd. reported someone made unauthorized purchases on her credit card at a location outside the country.
*On Saturday, July 6, a resident of the 17000 block of Parlin Drive reported someone stole two televisions from her garage. They believe a family member may be responsible for the theft.
*On Sunday, July 7, deputies received a report that someone had stolen the license plate from a vehicle parked in the 16600 block of Westby Drive.
*On Saturday, July 6, a resident of the 10000 block of Desert Rose reported someone opened a cell phone account in his name, which was discovered when he received a collection call for the account.
*On Wednesday, July 10, a second victim reported his identification used to open a cell phone account. He was also notified by a collection agency of an outstanding balance.
*On Saturday, July 6, deputies responded with the fire department to a fire reported inside a garage of a residence in the 16300 block of Trevino Drive. The fire was contained to a trash can with no damage to the structure.
*Deputies patrolling on Saguaro Boulevard last week issued two citations for criminal speed. One driver stopped near Ledferd Lane was traveling 36 mile per hour above the posted speed limit of 35. The second driver stopped near Amhurst Drive was allegedly traveling 70 miles per hour.
*On Thursday, July 4, deputies investigated a collision in the 17100 block of Grande Blvd. The vehicle crossed over the curbed median and struck a wall, causing damage to the wall and landscaping. The driver was picked up by another vehicle and left the scene before deputies arrived.
*Deputies received a report of a private property hit and run in a parking lot at Fountain Hills Blvd. and Keith McMahan Drive.
Between July 4 and July 11 deputies recorded 295 incidents with 37 reports written. They made 55 traffic stops writing 44 moving citations and one non-moving, two criminal traffic citations and nine written warnings.
