Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man in connection with a reported stolen vehicle on Thursday, May 23. As the investigation proceeded it appears the suspect may have a connection to several other burglaries that occurred in Fountain Hills recently.
The investigation is continuing.
*On Sunday, May 19, deputies arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was related to failure to pay a fine for a minor in possession charge.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man in connection with a reported stolen vehicle on Thursday, May 23. As the investigation proceeded it appears the suspect may have a connection to several other burglaries that occurred in Fountain Hills recently.

*On Sunday, May 19, deputies arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was related to failure to pay a fine for a minor in possession charge.
*On Thursday, May 16, at 1:52 p.m. deputies received a report of five or six teens smoking marijuana on the basketball courts at Golden Eagle and Palisades boulevards. Subjects had left the area by the time deputies arrived.
*On Thursday, May 16, a resident of the 16400 block of Avenue of the Fountains reported theft of a necklace valued at $500 from her residence while she was away in the hospital.
*On Thursday, May 16, deputies took another report of a theft from the 16400 block of Avenue of the Fountains for multiple pieces of jewelry.
*A third theft was reported by an employee who said she had a work-issued fanny pack stolen when she removed it.
*On Monday, May 20, a resident of the 16800 block of Avenue of the Fountains reported a theft of personal belongings from a vehicle. A pair of binoculars and his driver license were taken. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle.
*On Thursday, May 16, a man reported a personal account of his had been compromised and used without his consent or authorization. The incident resulted in a charge of $395.
*On Friday, May 17, a woman reported receiving a phone call from Cox Communications terminating her account at her request. She had not asked for termination and believes her personal information had been stolen.
*On Sunday, May 19, someone damaged a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 14400 block of Yerba Buena with long scratches on both sides of the vehicle.
*On Sunday, May 19, a suspect was arrested for criminal damage after striking a vehicle with an object after she alleges it nearly struck her daughter. The incident occurred near Hampstead Drive and Palisades Blvd.
*On Monday, May 20, deputies received a report of equipment damaged at the Parkview Car Wash.
*On Thursday, May 16, deputies investigated a collision at Saguaro Blvd. and La Montana Drive after a driver failed to yield from a stop sign and struck a vehicle in the intersection.
*On Tuesday, May 21, deputies responded to a collision near Fountain Hills and Shea boulevards. A vehicle was unable to stop and rear-ended another car.
*On Wednesday, May 22, deputies investigated a single vehicle collision on Shea Boulevard west of Crestview Drive when a driver lost control and collided with a tree. The driver received unknown injuries.
Deputies continue to remind residents that they need to lock their unattended vehicles and take any valuables with them when they leave.
Also, deputies on overnight patrols are contacting residents if they find an open garage door. On May 15, the reported four garage doors open and the homeowners were notified.
