A man charged with auto theft in connection with a vehicle stolen from a Fountain Hills residence where a double homicide occurred in June has now been charged with burglary at the residence.

The homicide at the home in the 14900 block of Kit Fox Place occurred on June 3 with the burglary taking place on June 6. One of two vehicles taken at the time of the burglary was recovered on June 20 in possession of Keith Dees, 41, of Avondale. He was charged at that time with vehicle theft.

The investigation has since produced DNA evidence that indicates Dees was allegedly inside the home, connecting him to the burglary. The forensic evidence also implicates Dees in a 2014 burglary in the City of Phoenix.

Dees was taken into custody following a court hearing and book on one count of burglary second degree.
