When deputies arrived they found small groups of people scattered around the parking lot and across the street and it took several deputies some time to piece things together.
Deputies were told that a man and a woman had threatened others with a gun during an argument, and allegedly struck one of the victims in the mouth.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a man following a family argument that took place in the parking lot of the Fountain Hills Plaza at Palisades Boulevard and La Montana Drive Wednesday morning, May 2.
When deputies arrived they found small groups of people scattered around the parking lot and across the street and it took several deputies some time to piece things together.
Deputies were told that a man and a woman had threatened others with a gun during an argument, and allegedly struck one of the victims in the mouth.
The suspects in the incident denied threatening anyone with a gun and stated they did not have a weapon.
Deputies obtained a search warrant for a vehicle being used by the suspects and found a holster and an ammunition clip inside. They later found a handgun in the bushes nearby.
*On Monday, April 30, deputies received a report that someone had stolen tools and materials from a construction site in the 14000 block of Dove Valley Road north of the Rio Verde area. The estimated value of the property stolen was set at $40,000.
*On Wednesday, April 25, deputies received a report that a woman had confronted a school bus driver who was dropping off children near Ashbrook and Galatea drives. The driver had previously taken a young child back to the school when there was no one at the bus stop to walk him home. The woman allegedly prevented the driver from closing the door to continue his route. Deputies were investigating the incident as possible disorderly conduct when the local school district chose to drop the incident.
*On Wednesday, May 2, managers at a convenience store at Palisades and Fountain Hills boulevards reported the theft of a handgun valued at $450 from the business.
*On Tuesday, May 1, a resident of the 14000 block of Ashbrook Drive reported someone removed property from a residence between April 29 and May 1.
*On Saturday, May 5, a resident of the 13000 block of Saguaro Boulevard reported hubcaps stolen.
*On Sunday, May 6, a resident reported someone damaged the rear window of the camper shell on his pickup while it was parked in the 11000 block of Saguaro Boulevard.
*On Sunday, May 6, a resident reported that a plastic window frame had been removed from his 2012 Ford SUV while it was parked in an assigned spot in the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard.
*On Friday, May 4, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone had removed a credit card from her mailbox and had used it. The bank had notified her of the use of the card.
*On Friday, May 4, a Fountain Hills man reported a computer valued at $900 was missing from his residence in the 15000 block of Eagle Ridge Drive.
*On Monday, May 7, a Fountain Hills woman reported a man pushed her and took her phone while she attempted to call 911. The two had gotten into an argument that escalated into the physical confrontation.
*On Tuesday, May 1, deputies were called to the 16000 block of Almont Drive after neighbors reported a man and woman had gotten into a physical fight after a verbal argument. The woman alleged the man pushed her and neighbors accused the woman of yelling and cursing at them. Deputies asked for assault charges against the man and cited the woman for disorderly conduct.
*On Monday, May 7, a resident reported that someone had removed checks from a residence in the 16000 block of Glenpoint Drive and had forged them in an attempt to cash the checks.
