A vehicle colliding with Salt River Project power equipment resulted in a brief interruption in power Wednesday evening, April 4.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the reported accident on Golden Eagle Boulevard at Boulder Drive at about 8:20 p.m.

A driver, traveling north on Golden Eagle, lost control, went off the road and struck the electrical transformer.

A vehicle colliding with Salt River Project power equipment resulted in a brief interruption in power Wednesday evening, April 4.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the reported accident on Golden Eagle Boulevard at Boulder Drive at about 8:20 p.m.

A driver, traveling north on Golden Eagle, lost control, went off the road and struck the electrical transformer.

A man at the scene told deputies he was nearby walking his dog and heard the crash. He grabbed a first aid kit from home and went to the scene.

The driver and a passenger were not injured. The driver was cited for speed not reasonable and prudent and operating the vehicle as a permitted driver with no adult in the vehicle.

*On Thursday, March 29, a Mesa man was stopped for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard near Monterey Drive. He was recorded traveling 56 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. He was cited for the speeding as well as driving without a license.

*On Thursday, March 29, deputies stopped a Phoenix man for making an improper turn (right on red) at Palisades and Shea boulevards and found he was driving with a suspended license. The man was cited and released and got a ride from another person.

*On Thursday, March 29, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man following an alleged assault incident at a residence in the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro. The victim reported he had been pushed by the suspect after they got into an argument.

*On Friday, March 30, deputies received a report of an unknown suspect stealing two 18-packs of beer from a Fountain Hills convenience market in the 17000 block of Shea Boulevard.

*On Friday, March 30, deputies received a report that someone had damaged the tires on three vehicles parked in the 16000 block of Alamosa Drive. The vehicles included two trucks and a rental sedan. Damage is estimated at $600.

*On Friday, March 30, deputies received a report of criminal damage in the 16000 block of Almont Drive. A rock was thrown through the window of a residence and two tires were slashed on a vehicle. Damage is estimated at $800.

*On Friday, March 30, deputies responded to a report of tire damage on a vehicle parked on Mustang Drive. The initial report was for an assault by a landscaping worker who turned a leaf blower at the face of a man. The landscaper reported the tire slashed on his vehicle after the incident.

*On Friday, March 30, a Fountain Hills woman reported a suspicious phone call, in which a man asked about kids for sale on Craigslist.

*On Saturday, March 31, deputies responded to a minor rear-end collision at Palisades Boulevard and Almont Drive.

*On Saturday, March 31, deputies received a report of a Mesa man who allegedly caused damage to the tire of a vehicle that belonged to a male friend of a woman the suspect had a confrontation with. The suspect is on probation and deputies were proceeding to contract the probation department to check the status of the man.

*On Wednesday, March 28, deputies received a report from a healthcare professional that a male patient had come in for treatment related to an assault the previous day in Fountain Hills. The man’s wife allegedly assaulted him, pushing him against a wall and causing abrasions and bruising. The incident is under investigation.

*On Wednesday, March 28, deputies received a report from Fountain Hills Library employees of a disorderly man using foul language and threatening library employees. The man was trespassed from the library and cited for disorderly conduct.

*On Sunday, April 1, an unknown suspect took a wallet belonging to a Fountain Hills woman while she was shopping at Bashas’. She reported the wallet contained $600 in cash, her driver license and bank cards. The wallet was found by an employee in the parking lot with $200 of the cash missing.

*On Sunday, April 1, a vehicle went into the median on Palisades Boulevard south of Palomino Boulevard and damaged landscaping and left the scene. The vehicle was found to be registered to a Colorado man. He was cited for failure to remain at the scene of an accident and failure to control his speed.

*On Monday, March 26, deputies responded to the 13000 block of Hamilton Drive where a woman reported her estranged husband was at her home and she wanted him removed. She reported the man had assaulted her five months ago and she had a court order of protection. Deputies served the order of protection and told the man to leave.

*On Wednesday, April 4, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man on outstanding warrants after his mother called and asked that he be removed from her home.
