Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man for indecent exposure near the Crossroads Plaza on Shea Boulevard on Sunday, April 8.

Deputies received a call from a woman who was waiting in her car in the parking lot near Wendy’s restaurant when she saw the man she said was naked.

When deputies arrived they found the man wearing a shirt, but no pants or underwear. As deputies approached to make contact with the man he crossed over the fence between Fountain Hills and the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man for indecent exposure near the Crossroads Plaza on Shea Boulevard on Sunday, April 8.

Deputies received a call from a woman who was waiting in her car in the parking lot near Wendy’s restaurant when she saw the man she said was naked.

When deputies arrived they found the man wearing a shirt, but no pants or underwear. As deputies approached to make contact with the man he crossed over the fence between Fountain Hills and the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.

Fort McDowell Police were called, but deputies later found the man sleeping in a nearby wash within Fountain Hills, where they arrested him for indecent exposure and providing an incorrect name, false information to a police officer.

*On Thursday, April 5, a Fountain Hills woman was stopped near Balsam and Fayette drives for speeding in a school zone. She was found to be driving with a suspended license and cited for that also.

*On Thursday, April 5, a resident of the 17000 block of El Lago Boulevard reported someone had stolen his three-wheeled adult tricycle from the front yard. The value is $579.

*On Thursday, April 5, a resident of the 17000 block of El Lago Boulevard reported a bicycle stolen.

*On Thursday, April 5, a Phoenix man was stopped for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard near Ledferd Lane (52 where the speed limit is 35) and was arrested for DUI. The man was cited and released.

*On Friday, April 6, a Fountain Hills man was arrested for domestic violence assault when his wife reported he attempted to throw her out of the house, slamming her against the wall and punching her. The man was booked on assault charges.

*On Friday, April 6, deputies received a report that someone shoplifted a hockey jersey valued at $25 from the Goodwill store.

*On Saturday, April 7, deputies investigated a collision on Rio Verde Drive at 156th Street. An eastbound vehicle slowed to make a turn from Rio Verde Drive onto 156th Street when they were struck from behind by a second vehicle. The driver was cited for failure to control his vehicle to avoid a collision.

*On Saturday, April 7, deputies were called to an accident on Shea Boulevard near Crestview Drive. A westbound vehicle waiting at the light was struck by a vehicle from behind, which then continued west before going off the road into the desert. The driver seemed incoherent in talking with deputies and she was cited for failure to control her vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident and DUI.

*On Sunday, April 8, a New River woman was arrested for DUI near 141 St. and Cavedale in Maricopa County. Another motorist reported the vehicle driving erratically and spinning its wheels. The woman was cited and released.

*On Wednesday, April 4, a resident reported someone slashed the tires on their vehicle that was parked in a driveway in the 17000 block of San Marcus Drive.

*On Saturday, April 7, a resident of the 17000 block of Caliente Drive reported someone had stolen seven solar landscape lights from his property. The value is $280.

*On Monday, April 9, a Fountain Hills man reported a theft from his home in the 15000 block of Sundown Drive. While he and his wife were out of town her daughter stayed at the house and, when the man came home, he discovered a safe missing with an estimated $30,000 in property. He also noticed a cigar missing and a partially consumed bottle of vodka. The daughter said she had friends in the house on a couple of occasions but only a short time in each instance. She denied any connection with the theft and did not believe her friends were involved.

*On Tuesday, April 10, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone used her credit card fraudulently to purchase items online from a California company for a total of $780.

*On Wednesday, April 4, a Fountain Hills man reported a handgun missing from his property. He is unsure when it went missing.

*On Tuesday, April 10, a woman reported she was sideswiped by a red Jeep as she was driving in Fountain Hills. She said she is new to town and is uncertain of the location. Deputies determined the location to be near Palisades and Palomino boulevards.
