Deputies were told the man demanded money from someone outside the store before he went inside, where he allegedly caused a scene before taking liquor and leaving without paying.
Deputies made contact with the man outside the store and took him into custody. The suspect was booked into jail on charges of resisting arrest, shoplifting and disorderly conduct. It was also found that there were two outstanding warrants for his arrest.

*On Thursday, Feb. 8, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for possession of prescription drugs, drug paraphernalia and was also possibly in possession of heroin. Deputies made contact with the woman after responding to the 14000 block of Kings Way after a resident reported witnessing a possible drug deal in progress.
*On Friday, Feb. 9, deputies responded to the Fountain Hills Post Office for a reported unresponsive man in a locked vehicle in the parking lot. Witnesses said the man came out of the post office and got into his car and slumped over the steering wheel. Deputies broke a window to gain entry and found the man in cardiac arrest. Deputies and firefighter attempted to revive the man. He was pronounced dead after being transported to a Scottsdale hospital.
*On Friday, Feb. 9, a Fountain Hills man reported he was assaulted by a roommate following an argument at a residence in the 13000 block of Hamilton Drive.
*On Friday, Feb. 9, deputies received a report that someone had stolen a laptop computer from a vehicle parked in the 11000 block of Saguaro Boulevard.
*On Saturday, Feb. 10, a resident of the 16000 block of Balsam Drive reported someone took swimming pool equipment valued at $700 from their backyard.
*On Thursday, Feb. 8, a Fountain hills woman reported someone has used her credit card information to make purchases totaling nearly $16,000.
*On Saturday, Sept. 10, a subject who was a suspect in a hit and run vehicle accident drove to the MCSO substation at Town Hall to talk to deputies. The person was processed as a DUI suspect.
*On Saturday, Sept. 10, a woman who was attending the Concours auto show in Fountain Park reported she was assaulted when an unidentified man grabbed her buttocks as she was walking around. Deputies followed up on a witness report of the suspect getting into a vehicle.
*On Thursday, Feb. 8, a Fountain Hills man reported a confrontation with a neighbor and alleged assault in the area of Galatea and Ashbrook drives. Deputies provided the victim with information on obtaining a court injunction against harassment.
*On Monday, Feb. 12, deputies responded to a report of unknown trouble in the 15000 block of Skinner Drive. They located a man and took him into custody for outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court.
*On Tuesday, Feb. 13, deputies investigated a vehicle crash at Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards. A vehicle traveling south on Fountain Hills Boulevard was struck as it went through the intersection. The second vehicle spun out and came to a stop in the median.
*On Wednesday, Feb. 14, deputies investigated a collision at Shea and Palisades boulevards. A witness report stated a vehicle making a left turn off Shea onto northbound Palisades was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Shea. Both drivers were taken to the hospital for further medical evaluation. Based on the witness report the driver making the turn was cited for failure to stop for a red light.
