The man allegedly confronted and threatened his mother, assaulted his father when the father tried to restrain him and took more than $100 in cash from his father’s wallet.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says a Fountain Hills man faces a variety of charges following an incident in town on Saturday, Nov. 11.
It began when the man arrived at his parents’ house in the 12000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard in a taxi he hired in the Valley. The cab driver said the man claimed he would return with the $28 fare, but never did.
The man allegedly confronted and threatened his mother, assaulted his father when the father tried to restrain him and took more than $100 in cash from his father’s wallet.
Deputies say he then left the house and a search of the area included an MCSO helicopter and K9 officers. He was not located. Deputies alleged that he had entered a neighbor’s house through the garage and took the keys to a car and left town in the car.
The man contacted his father the next day to arrange a meeting and returned the stolen vehicle. Deputies were not involved in that and the suspect was not taken into custody.
The man faces charges including strong arm robbery, domestic violence aggravated assault, theft of a means of transportation (two counts), violation of an order of protection and domestic violence aggravated harassment. He also has two outstanding warrants for his arrest from the City of Mesa and the Arizona Department of Corrections.
*On Tuesday, Nov. 7, deputies investigated a traffic accident at El Lago and Fountain Hills boulevards. A vehicle making a left turn from eastbound El Lago on the green arrow collided with a vehicle making a right turn from westbound El Lago onto northbound Fountain Hills Boulevard. There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
*On Wednesday, Nov. 8, a resident of the 26000 block of N. 170th Street reported a neighbor was yelling at a house guest of the caller in violation of a court order against harassment.
*On Thursday, Nov. 9, deputies responded to a church on Fountain Hills Boulevard after receiving a report there was a homeless person sleeping on church property and scaring members. The church did not want the man arrested. However, deputies found the man to have arrest warrants against him and took him into custody.
*On Thursday, Nov. 9, a Mesa man was stopped for speeding on McDowell Mountain Road and was found to have no driver license.
*On Friday, Nov. 10, deputies responded to a report of men shooting too close to residences in the area of State Route 87 (Beeline Highway) and Pleasant Valley Road in Goldfield Ranch. Deputies made contact with three men and warned them they were shooting too close to the highway as well as nearby residences. One of the men had a warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody.
*On Sunday, Nov. 12, deputies responded to a report of a domestic violence fight in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard. A man came to his girlfriend’s home after they had separated and they got into an argument, with the man allegedly throwing a child’s toy truck at the woman and poking her hard in the face before leaving. She did not wish to press charges.
*On Sunday, Nov. 12, deputies received a report of a man urinating on cases of beer at the Circle K on Shea Boulevard. The beer, valued at $215, had to be disposed of. Deputies were told the man worked next door, but they were unable to locate him at the time.
*On Monday, Nov. 13, a resident of the 17000 block of Calle del Sol reported someone caused $300 in damage to the tires on their vehicle using screws.
*On Friday, Nov. 10, a resident of Arroyo Vista Drive reported someone trying a turn a motor home at Arroyo Vista and La Montana drives struck his mailbox and left the scene.
*On Saturday, Nov. 11, deputies received a report of damage to property at a business complex in the 16000 block of Palisades Boulevard. A light fixture was broken and there was damage to two outside benches. Surveillance video shows two male subjects, 16 to 20 years of age, skateboarding between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. the previous day and causing the damage, estimated at $1,350.
*On Wednesday, Nov. 15, a deputy was patrolling an area on the lookout for a man wanted on an outstanding warrant when he spotted a subject matching his description. Deputies made contact with the man and found he was not the subject they were looking for, but it was discovered that he did have an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody.
