Sheriff’s deputies in Fountain Hills were called to the scene of an accident at El Lago and Fountain Hills boulevards on Saturday, Nov. 18.

They found a vehicle had driven into a tree north of the intersection, but could not immediately locate a driver or passengers.

The driver of the vehicle was located sitting in the passenger’s side of a vehicle parked across the street on El Lago Boulevard. Deputies say the woman was extremely anxious about the accident.

Sheriff’s deputies in Fountain Hills were called to the scene of an accident at El Lago and Fountain Hills boulevards on Saturday, Nov. 18.

They found a vehicle had driven into a tree north of the intersection, but could not immediately locate a driver or passengers.

The driver of the vehicle was located sitting in the passenger’s side of a vehicle parked across the street on El Lago Boulevard. Deputies say the woman was extremely anxious about the accident.

Deputies said she reported taking some sleeping pills and had a small amount of alcohol. However, she showed no signs of impairment in the field.

She was cited for failure to control her vehicle to avoid a collision.

*On Thursday, Nov. 16, deputies received a report of a man unconscious in the roadway near Bluejay Place and Glenbrook Boulevard. The man did respond to deputies and was evaluated by fire department medics. He was transported to the hospital as a precaution for possible effects of intoxication.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 7, a resident of the 16000 block of Ashbrook Drive reported someone entered her home and removed cash from an envelope in a bedroom closet.

*On Friday, Nov. 17, a Fountain Hills woman reported she was notified by her credit union that there had been fraudulent activity on her account.

*On Friday, Nov. 17, a Fountain Hills woman reported her boyfriend had stolen the rental vehicle she used as a Lyft driver. She stopped at her parents’ house in Fountain Hills for a minute and he was with her. She went inside to see her mother and inadvertently fell asleep waiting for her mother. When she went back outside the car was gone. The boyfriend did eventually return the vehicle he said he needed to use to take his parents to the airport. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Mesa.

*On Saturday, Nov. 18, a woman reported she was assaulted by her boyfriend over a couple of days. She was at the hospital in Paradise Valley when she reported the incident and talked with Phoenix Police, who handed her off to MCSO due to the location of the alleged incident in the Rio Verde Foothills area. The woman was being treated for significant injuries.

*On Sunday, Nov. 19, a resident of the 13000 block of Ryan Way reported someone had broken the window in their vehicle that was parked on the driveway. Damage is estimated at $225, but nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle.

*On Sunday, Nov. 19, a resident of the 16000 block of Westwind Court reported a sliding glass door on his residence was broken within the time period of Nov. 17 and when it was discovered, Nov. 19. The homeowner does not believe anyone entered the home.
