Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence in the 15000 block of Scorpion Drive for a reported burglary on Saturday, July 15.
Owners arrived to find doors ripped from their hinges, lights on and property ransacked.
No one had been at the home since Saturday, July 1. The resident is moving to be with her daughter and making it a slow process. Jewelry is among the items reported missing from the house.
*A burglary was reported in a similar situation on Sunday, July 16, in the 14000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard. The residents are moving out so the property owner can sell the house. They found a window smashed and the house ransacked. They were picking up a final load and found electronics, tools and cash missing.
*On Tuesday, July 11, a Fountain Hills woman reported identity theft after the bank reported to her that someone claiming to be her called to change her information and provided proper answers to security questions.
*On Tuesday, July 11, a man reported he was contacted by a woman in violation of a court order against her.
*On Tuesday, July 11, a Fountain Hills man drove his vehicle off the road and into his front yard in the 15000 block of Jericho Drive. He is believed to have been impaired. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
*On Thursday, July 13, deputies assisted Rio Verde Fire Department with two men suffering from heat exhaustion at McDowell Mountain Park. One man was found at the Trailhead Staging Area. The other was located on the trail. One man was treated and released at the scene. The second was taken to the hospital.
*On Thursday, July 13, a Phoenix man was stopped for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited on six counts of possession and for speeding.
*On Sunday, July 16, deputies were called to investigate a man in a vehicle on Ibsen Drive. They found the man asleep and he was taken into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant.
*On Monday, July 17, a resident of the 15000 block of Roy Rogers Way in Maricopa County called to report a handbag had been stolen from his vehicle. The bag contained a handgun, bank ID and credit cards. The man told deputies the vehicle was not locked.
*On Monday, July 17, deputies received a report of personal property in the wash near Saguaro Boulevard and Kiwanis Drive. Three duffel bags and a small suitcase were picked up and taken to the MCSO substation for safekeeping. No one had claimed the property.
*On Monday, July 17, deputies investigated a two-vehicle collision on Avenue of the Fountains at Keith McMahan Drive. A driver pulled out of McMahan Drive to cross the Avenue when he was struck by a westbound vehicle. The driver was cited for failure to yield to a stop sign from Keith McMahan Drive.
*On Monday, July 17, an employee found damage to a lock and door knob to a pump house door at the lake on SunRidge Canyon Golf Course near Desert Canyon Drive.
*On Thursday, July 6, a retail business manager in Fountain Hills reported money given to an employee for deposit was never deposited in the account.
*On Thursday, July 6, a Fountain Hills man reported he was walking his dog in Fountain Park when it was attacked by another dog without provocation. The man’s dog suffered bites and was taken to a vet for treatment.
*On Thursday, July 13, deputies were called to a reported assault in the 13000 block of Hamilton Drive. A man reported he was pushed down by a second man causing scratches and bleeding. The victim declined to cooperate with prosecution.
*On Tuesday, July 18, a resident on the 14000 block of Caliente Drive reported the soft top on his Jeep had been cut along with the plastic window. Damage is estimated at $1,000.
*On Wednesday, July 19, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone charged $602 to her debit card without permission.
*On Wednesday, July 19, a Scottsdale man was cited for criminal speed on Saguaro Boulevard near Kingstree Boulevard. He was reportedly traveling 62 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35.
