Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man on Monday, March 6, for possession of narcotic drugs and theft.
The man was allegedly picking up an oxycodone prescription issued to his mother and taking out most of the pills for his own use.
He told deputies that he was taking the pills from his mother’s prescription and that he knew it to be wrong.
*On Monday, March 13, deputies investigated a single vehicle accident in the 16000 block of Oxford Drive near Fountain Hills Boulevard. The driver told deputies he had fallen asleep at the wheel and woke up after he had driven into someone’s front yard. The collision did damage to landscaping and a block wall. The man was cited for failure to control his speed to avoid a collision.
*On Monday, March 13, deputies stopped a Scottsdale man in a vehicle that fit the description of a vehicle related to a burglary incident. The man was not connected to a burglary, but was cited for driving with a suspended driver license.
*On Tuesday, March 14, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills woman on an outstanding warrant from a Mesa court. Deputies took her into custody at a Scottsdale hospital where she was taken on an unrelated incident.
*On Monday, March 13, deputies received a report of a seat stolen from a bicycle while it was locked to the rack at the Fountain Hills library. Deputies did question an individual in relation to the incident, but they were not detained.
*On Sunday, March 12, a resident of the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard reported that someone dropped a large river rock on a cactus in his front yard.
*On Wednesday, March 15, deputies responded to a report of a counterfeit $100 passed at a local restaurant. A suspect had gone into the restaurant with the $100 and asked for five $20s. After the exchange restaurant personnel determined the the $100 bill was counterfeit and called deputies. One of the restaurant employees involved in the exchanged was found to have an outstanding warrant from Missouri, and was taken into custody.
