Deputies responding to the scene found the woman’s vehicle straddling a median in the parking lot of a shopping center on the north side of Palisades at La Montana Drive.
Witnesses told deputies they heard the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and then tires squealing before the impact. The car struck a concrete wall and a tree near the driveway to the parking lot.

Sheriff’s deputies investigating a one-vehicle accident on Palisades Boulevard Thursday, Feb. 2, cited the woman driving for DUI and criminal damage-reckless damage to property.
Deputies responding to the scene found the woman’s vehicle straddling a median in the parking lot of a shopping center on the north side of Palisades at La Montana Drive.
Witnesses told deputies they heard the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and then tires squealing before the impact. The car struck a concrete wall and a tree near the driveway to the parking lot.
Another man told deputies his vehicle had been damaged by debris from the crash.
The woman was transported to a Scottsdale hospital for a medical evaluation.
*On Monday, Jan. 30, deputies received a report of criminal damage to the women’s restroom at Four Peaks Park. A toilet seat was broken and paper holder pulled from the wall.
*On Friday, Jan. 27, a Fountain Hills man reported someone else had cashed the paycheck he was to have received in the mail.
*On Saturday, Jan. 28, deputies received a report that someone had damaged the laundry room at a condominium complex in the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro. The damage was done by tagging with a marker.
*On Tuesday, Jan. 31, deputies responding to a report of a man loitering near Palisades and Fountain Hills boulevards arrested the man for an outstanding warrant.
*On Thursday, Jan. 26, a Mesa woman was cited for leaving her dog in a vehicle in a parking with overnight temperatures near freezing. She voluntarily surrendered the dog to MCSO for adoption to a new home.
*On Wednesday, Feb. 1, a Fountain Hills woman reported her ex-fiancé was throwing her belongings around and threatening to throw her out of the residence in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. The incident is being evaluated for potential domestic violence disorderly conduct charges.
*On Thursday, Feb. 2, a Phoenix man reported he had been assaulted by a man he knew only as “Ace” while they were working on an air conditioner at a business in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. The two began to argue and the suspect struck the victim in the face with a fist. The victim did not wish to press charges, but wanted the incident documented.
*On Friday, Feb. 3, a clerk at the Circle K at Saguaro and Shea boulevards reported three suspects, two male and one female, had entered the store and went over the counter and stole merchandise valued at about $3,000. The items includes cigarettes, alcohol and scratcher lottery tickets. The suspects left the store heading west past McDonald’s.
*On Friday, Feb. 3, a Fountain Hills man reported three packages he had left for FedEx pickup in front of his house in the 15000 block of Scarlet Sky Lane had been stolen. The items are valued at $1,400.
*On Tuesday, Jan. 31, a Wisconsin man reported someone had stolen items from his wallet he had left in his vehicle parked in the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. About $350 in cash had been stolen from the wallet.
*On Wednesday, Feb. 1, deputies stopped a Mesa woman for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard near Monterey Drive and discovered a warrant for her arrest. She was turned over to Tempe Police.
*On Wednesday, Feb. 1, deputies cited a Fountain Hills man for consuming alcohol in a public park in the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd.
