Deputies responding to the report said someone forced open a rear door to the store between closing on Saturday, Dec. 17 and reopening on Sunday, Dec. 18.
They removed cash from a cash box stored in an office and additional cash from a register in the front of the store. The amount totaled about $400.

Deputies responding to the report said someone forced open a rear door to the store between closing on Saturday, Dec. 17 and reopening on Sunday, Dec. 18.
They removed cash from a cash box stored in an office and additional cash from a register in the front of the store. The amount totaled about $400.
*On Thursday, Dec. 15, deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a pickup traveling north on Saguaro Boulevard. The vehicle did not stop and pulled off at Indian Wells Drive and onto Barnes Court. Four people fled from the vehicle and out toward the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation reservation. One man remained behind who was the owner of the vehicle but apparently not driving. He knew the driver only by a first name. The driver faces charges of criminal speeding (60 where the speed limit is 35), reckless driving for forcing another vehicle off onto the shoulder and failing to stop for police.
*On Monday, Dec. 12, deputies investigated a single vehicle accident at Forest Road and McDowell Mountain Road at Rio Verde. A Mesa woman drove through the intersection and struck an embankment and wire fending. There was minor damage to the vehicle and no injuries.
*On Tuesday, Dec. 13, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man in connection with the theft of merchandise and cash from his employer in Fountain Hills. The man was cooperative with deputies and admitted the theft. Deputies executed a search warrant for the home where the man lived with his mother. The theft was reported by an investigator for the retail company.
*On Tuesday, Dec. 13, a Fountain Hills resident reported someone had fraudulently cashed a business check belonging to his company.
*On Tuesday, Dec. 13, a Fountain Hills man reported someone had stolen checks from his home and forged his name on the checks totaling $700. The victim said he believes the suspect is a man he is allowing to stay at his home as a favor for a friend. The victim later reported a 30-inch flat screen television and a handgun were missing.
*On Tuesday, Dec. 13, a resident reported that someone had entered their vehicle that was parked in the 14000 block of Aguilar Drive. The vehicle was parked in the driveway. There was damage but nothing apparently taken.
*On Wednesday, Dec. 14, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone had taken the keys from her vehicle parked in the 17000 block of La Pasada Drive.
*On Wednesday, Dec. 14, Sheriff’s deputies took custody of a Las Vegas man from Fort McDowell Police. The man was wanted on multiple arrest warrants from courts in the Phoenix area.
*On Saturday, Dec. 17, deputies responded to a report of a broken window at a commercial building in the 14000 block of Shea Boulevard. It appeared that a rock had been thrown through a vacant unit of the building.
*On Sunday, Dec. 4, a Missouri man reported someone had stolen golf clubs and other equipment from the trunk of a rental car parked in the 15000 block of Palomino Boulevard. The property is valued at $3,180.
*On Monday, Dec. 13, a Fountain Hills woman reported her vehicle was broken into while parked in the 15000 block of Escondido Drive. Someone went through the glove box, but nothing was apparently taken.
*On Thursday, Dec. 15, a Fountain Hills man reported someone had stolen his 2007 Chrysler 300 at his residence in the 16000 block of Sabinas Drive.
*On Saturday, Dec. 17, a Phoenix man was stopped for speeding and was found to be driving with his license suspended; the vehicle had no current registration and no proof of insurance.
