Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence in Fountain Hills for a reported domestic assault on Monday, Dec. 19.
A woman reported she had gotten into an argument with her fiancé and that he had pulled her hair.
The man told deputies that he was trying to calm her down when a bracelet he was wearing got caught in her hair as she pulled away.
The woman said she did not want to press charges, but felt she needed to report the incident because the man is a volunteer with the Sheriff’s Posse.
The man turned over his posse badge and ID upon request.
*On Sunday, Dec. 18, deputies received a report that someone had passed a fraudulent check at a Fountain Hills auto parts store. The check was for $3,194.
*On Monday, Dec. 19 deputies stopped a Fort McDowell woman for a safety violation (no brake light) and found she was driving without a valid driver license.
*On Monday, Dec. 19, a Fountain Hills man reported someone had removed a handgun from his vehicle parked in the 16000 block of Carmel Drive.
*On Monday, Dec. 19, a Litchfield Park, Ariz. man was cited for sales solicitation in Fountain Hills without a license or permit. He was responsible for letting four other young adults out in town to sell magazines.
*On Monday, Dec. 19, a Cave Creek woman reported someone had smashed the rear window of her vehicle and stole her purse while the vehicle was parked in the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard. Cash and other items valued at $283 were reported missing with the purse.
