Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating two incidents of reported vehicle break-ins in the same neighborhood on Monday, Oct. 31.

A man reported someone entered two of his vehicles parked in the 16000 block of El Lago Boulevard. The man told deputies he thought the vehicle was locked, but there was no sign of forced entry.

A woman reported a similar incident in the same block the same day. There was no sign of forced entry and the woman said she believes the vehicle may have been unlocked.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating two incidents of reported vehicle break-ins in the same neighborhood on Monday, Oct. 31.

A man reported someone entered two of his vehicles parked in the 16000 block of El Lago Boulevard. The man told deputies he thought the vehicle was locked, but there was no sign of forced entry.

A woman reported a similar incident in the same block the same day. There was no sign of forced entry and the woman said she believes the vehicle may have been unlocked.

Both victims said they could not find anything missing from the vehicles.

*On Monday, Oct. 31, a Phoenix woman was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended license plate for mandatory insurance. The license plate was seized by deputies and the vehicle was towed and secured due to pool cleaning chemicals and equipment in the vehicle.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 2, a Tucson couple reported to deputies they encountered a man with a gun while driving in the area of 26000 N. 144th Street in the unincorporated county. The couple was looking at real estate in the area and accompanied by an agent in a separate vehicle. The couple reported they were stopped by a man in a pick-up truck who asked what they were doing there. He pulled a handgun from his waistband, but did not point it at them. They said they felt threatened by the man.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 1, a man reported seeing a vehicle speeding from his property in the 33000 block of N. 138th Street in the unincorporated county. Upon inspection the man discovered damage to his water well site and it appeared the well had been tampered with. The man believes a neighbor came to take water from his well without authorization. The two have an ongoing dispute over water.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 2, a Phoenix man was stopped for speeding on a motorcycle along Shea Boulevard near Fountain Hills Boulevard. He was found to be driving with a suspended license, a suspended license plate and no motorcycle permit in his possession. He was cited and released and the motorcycle towed.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 2, a Fort McDowell man was stopped for speeding in Fountain Hills and was also cited for driving with a suspended license, having no valid driver license and failing to provide proof of insurance. He was cited and released.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 1, deputies received a report from a Fountain Hills man of illegal dumping on his commercial property on Laser Drive. Someone had left a large bow with debris next to the dumpster which would cost extra to have picked up. There was mailing labels with a name and address for deputies to follow up the suspect admitted leaving the items but said he had permission from a previous tenant on the property. He was cited for criminal littering.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 1, a Fountain Hills man, 19, was arrested for criminal damage after he was seen throwing a rock at a neighbor’s vehicle and damaging the windshield and hood. He also resisted deputies trying to take him into custody and had a blood alcohol level of .207. He was arrested for criminal damage, resisting arrest, minor possession of alcohol and minor consumption of alcohol.

*On Monday, Oct. 31, a Phoenix man was stopped for speeding on Shea Boulevard and found to have no driver’s license. He was cited and released with the vehicle being towed.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 1, a woman reported that her son’s cell phone had been stolen while he was at Fountain Hills Middle School. A tracking device showed the phone along Golden Eagle Boulevard near Desert Canyon Drive. Neither the boy’s mother nor deputies were able to find the phone in that area.

*On Thursday, Nov. 3, a Fountain Hills man was cited for excessive speed, traveling more than 20 miles per hour over the posted limit on McDowell Mountain Road near the park entrance. He was seen traveling 67 miles per hour were the limit is 45.
