Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies report that a Fountain Hills woman faces potential aggravated assault charges after she allegedly pepper sprayed a neighbor on Monday, Nov. 7.

The woman and the male neighbor got into a verbal confrontation over the man leaving the door of their condo complex laundry open while he was doing laundry.

The woman said she lives adjacent to the laundry and wants to keep critters and those with potential criminal activity on their mind out of the laundry.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies report that a Fountain Hills woman faces potential aggravated assault charges after she allegedly pepper sprayed a neighbor on Monday, Nov. 7.

The woman and the male neighbor got into a verbal confrontation over the man leaving the door of their condo complex laundry open while he was doing laundry.

The woman said she lives adjacent to the laundry and wants to keep critters and those with potential criminal activity on their mind out of the laundry.

The man said he leaves the door open so he can hear when the laundry is done to return and pick it up.

The woman admitted to using the pepper spray, saying she feared for her safety when confronting the man. She had some of the spray on her hands and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

Deputies are submitting the report to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for evaluation on charges of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.

*On Monday, Nov. 7, a resident of the 27000 block of Quintana Drive in Rio Verde reported someone had painted several sections of her garage door while she was out of town for a few days. She said there was recently a man going door to door to solicit work and she declined and later reported him to the community association. Deputies are following up on information regarding the painter who was in the neighborhood.

*On Monday, Nov. 7, a Fountain Hills man was cited for violation of Town Code related to parking vehicles on his property in front of the house, but not on approved surfaces.

*On Friday, Oct. 28, a resident in the 15000 block of Rusty Nail Court reported someone had cut wires on the motion activated security lights on his property. Deputies found no sign of forced entry and there was no other damage.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 8, a Fountain Hills woman reported leaving her wallet on the checkout counter at a local grocery store. She reported it as a theft. The store manager later called to tell her the wallet had been found and was placed in the store safe.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 8, a Fountain Hills woman was stopped on Shea Boulevard for speeding, traveling 73 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. She was cited for criminal speed, an unsafe lane change, improper position for a left turn and no mandatory insurance.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 8, a man reported the theft of a set of headphones and a computer tablet. He was attempting to sell the items and met with a potential buyer in the 28000 block of N. 128th Street in the unincorporated county. The would-be buyer told the man he wanted to show the items to someone inside the nearby home and he took the items and disappeared. The people at the residence had no knowledge of anyone fitting such a description.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 9, a Fountain Hills man reported someone used his name to open credit card accounts at national retail companies without his consent or approval.
