A Phoenix woman called the Sheriff’s Office on Monday to report the theft, which took place on Saturday, Nov. 12.
The woman said she was working in a booth representing an insurance company and when she got ready to leave for the day on Saturday, she packed up five iPad Air tablets into a briefcase. She then left the booth briefly to take a photo of the Fountain.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies received a report of a theft from a vendor at the Fountain Festival of Arts and Crafts on Monday, Nov. 14.
A Phoenix woman called the Sheriff’s Office on Monday to report the theft, which took place on Saturday, Nov. 12.
The woman said she was working in a booth representing an insurance company and when she got ready to leave for the day on Saturday, she packed up five iPad Air tablets into a briefcase. She then left the booth briefly to take a photo of the Fountain.
It was not until later that she realized the tablets were missing. They have a value of about $400 each.
*On Thursday, Nov. 10, a Fountain Hills woman reported she believes another woman was attempting to sell her residence using fraudulent documents.
*On Thursday, Nov. 10, a Fountain Hills man reported someone took his wallet from his vehicle while it was parked in the 17000 block of Vallarosa drive. Bank cards and retail credit cards were in the wallet.
*On Thursday, Nov. 10 deputies were investigating a report of a trespasser when they discovered a vehicle that had the wrong license plate. They removed the plate.
*On Friday, Nov. 11, a couple reported someone had stolen a purse from the console of their vehicle parked at Desert Vista Park while they were there for kids’ soccer play. A window of the vehicle had been broken for entry.
*On Saturday, Nov. 12, a resident of the 16000 block of Chiquita Drive reported three mountain bikes stolen from their garage. They have an estimated total value of $8,200.
*On Friday, Nov. 11, a resident of the 14000 block of Desert Flower reported the theft of two large planters from in front of their garage.
*On Saturday, Nov. 12, a man in the 31000 block of N. 142nd Street reported someone removed survey markers from his property. The markers were placed there in relation to a boundary dispute with a neighbor. Their value is $800.
*On Sunday, Nov. 13, a Fountain Hills woman was stopped for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard near Ledferd Lane and deputies discovered she was driving with a suspended license. She was cited and released.
*On Monday, Nov. 14, deputies received a report of a burglary with checks stolen from a checkbook in their residence. Two of the checks were found in a nearby parking lot. Two others were written to an individual not known to the victim.
*On Tuesday, Nov. 15, deputies were called when a man refused to pay his $15 bill at the Denny’s restaurant on Shea Boulevard. The suspect was located at a hotel next door and insisted he paid the bill using a phone app. Employees at the restaurant said payment cannot be done in that manner. Deputies reported they were unable to get clear answers to their questions from the suspect.
*On Tuesday, Nov. 15, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 17000 block of Sonoran Way. They found a man behind the wheel asleep and discovered through investigation that he was driving with a revoked driver license.
*On Wednesday, Nov. 16, a Fountain Hills woman reported another woman in violation of a court order of protection when she had a third party send a text. The suspect was arrested for interfering with a judicial proceeding.
*On Thursday, Nov. 3, deputies were called by a representative of a vending machine company to report that a machine valued at $1,000 was removed without authorization from the former location of the Dollar Store in the Target plaza. Dollar Store management said the vending company was notified of the pending move and currently they have no idea the location of the machine.
*On Thursday, Nov. 17, a couple reported hearing a noise outside their residence in the 16000 block of Lost Arrow, and saw a male subject attempting to break into their vehicle. The suspect fled when he saw the residents approach. He got into another vehicle and left without taking anything.
*On Tuesday, Nov. 15, a Fountain Hills woman reported a burglary at her home in the 15000 block of Sunburst Drive. The woman said she has been away since February, but had friends staying at the home until August. Items taken include a 50-inch flat screen TV.
*Deputies working traffic enforcement this past week issued citations for suspended license plates, speeding, and driving without a required ignition interlock device.
