Witnesses reported hearing a disturbance around a man and a woman with the woman falling to the ground and the man appearing to pull her along the ground.
The suspect male is a Glendale resident and the woman he described as a friend who picked him up to spend the day together in Fountain Hills. They had taken her dogs to the park when he became concerned about the time to get back across the Valley ahead of traffic.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies in Fountain Hills investigated a report of an assault taking place at the dog park in Desert Vista Park on Monday, Oct. 17.
Witnesses reported hearing a disturbance around a man and a woman with the woman falling to the ground and the man appearing to pull her along the ground.
The suspect male is a Glendale resident and the woman he described as a friend who picked him up to spend the day together in Fountain Hills. They had taken her dogs to the park when he became concerned about the time to get back across the Valley ahead of traffic.
He said when he expressed this to the woman they argued and she threatened to leave him at the park. During the argument she fell and he said he was trying to help her up.
The man was cited for reckless injury to a person and he was given a ride to Shea Boulevard and Loop 101 where he could get public transportation back home.
*On Saturday, Oct. 15, a Fountain Hills resident reported damage to their vehicle that had been parked on the street in the 16000 block of Westby drive. There were dents in the hood of the vehicle.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 18, a woman living in the county island area west of Rio Verde reported her estranged husband had changed the locks on their home and taken two dogs from the residence in the 28000 of N. 148th Street. The woman said she has filed for divorce and filed an Order of Protection, although she did not know if it had been served. She was going to the residence to pick up things.
*On Friday, Oct. 14, a resident of the 14000 block of Lookout Ledge Drive reported controls were removed from a sprinkler system timer valued at $450. Deputies talked with a landscaper who said he removed the controller as the result of a dispute over payment from the woman.
*On Saturday, Oct. 8, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone took her cell phone while she was in a store in the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 18, a Phoenix man traveling west on Rio Verde Drive near 168th Street was stopped and cited for criminal speed. He was reported traveling 93 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. He was also cited for having no valid driver license.
*On Wednesday, a man reported his early balloting material had been stolen from his mailbox in the 27000 block of Palo Fiero Drive in Tonto Verde. He had been told the ballot was there by someone who had left other material in his mailbox. He reported the incident and requested another ballot from the Election’s Department.
*On Wednesday, Oct. 19, a Fountain Hills man was contacted regarding a non-moving traffic violation near Hamilton and La Montana drives. There was no license plate visible and the man was driving with a suspended license, and had no proof of mandatory insurance.
*On Wednesday, Oct. 19, a man reported being assaulted with a baseball bat at his residence in the 30000 block of N. 144th Street. He reported a man came to his home to collect a debt and when he went to get money for him, he was struck in the head by the bat when he returned. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and later released.
*On Monday, Oct. 17, a Fountain Hills woman reported a Phoenix man was in violation of a court order of protection when he came to her house and asked her husband about where he might find their grand-daughter. Deputies found there was no violation of the order since the order had no stipulation the man could not contact the granddaughter’s family.
*On Wednesday, Oct. 19, deputies stopped a Fountain Hills woman for an improper right turn and found she was driving under the influence. She was cited for extreme DUI with a blood alcohol level of .19.
*On Thursday, Oct. 20, deputies responded to a fire in a horse trailer parked in the 30000 block of N. 156th Street. The trailer was a total loss and there was some damage to the vehicle it was attached to. Fire officials told deputies the fire did not appear to be suspicious, though the cause was not determined.
*On Saturday, Oct. 22, a Fort McDowell woman reported that she had been assaulted by her brother while the family was at Golden Eagle Park in Fountain Hills. The two had argued over how the brother treated one of her children, who he has custody of. The woman was pushed down and was taken to the hospital as a precaution since she is pregnant. The brother left with the woman’s four children and was not immediately located.
*On Sunday, Oct. 23, a man reported someone broke into his vehicle parked in the 15000 block of Shagbark Drive and removed tools valued at $750.
*On Sunday, Oct. 23, a Fountain Hills man called deputies to report he had been scammed out of $25,000. He received a call on Oct. 22, from a person claiming to be his son who had been involved in an accident while in Mexico. He sent the money be realized the scam when his son came for dinner on Sunday, Oct. 23.
