On Tuesday, Sept. 6, Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies received a report from a Fountain Hills man that he had been assaulted during a gathering in the 17000 block of Calle Del Sol on Saturday, Sept. 3.

The man said the event was a memorial gathering for the father of a friend. He said he was sitting by the pool and had been drinking.

The victim reported being punched and knocked off his seat and them kicked and punched again before being thrown over a table and into the pool. He could not identify his assailant.

On Tuesday, Sept. 6, Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies received a report from a Fountain Hills man that he had been assaulted during a gathering in the 17000 block of Calle Del Sol on Saturday, Sept. 3.

The man said the event was a memorial gathering for the father of a friend. He said he was sitting by the pool and had been drinking.

The victim reported being punched and knocked off his seat and them kicked and punched again before being thrown over a table and into the pool. He could not identify his assailant.

The victim was unable to provide details and reported the incident three days after it happened.

Others at the gathering gave sketchy descriptions of what happened, according to deputies, but apparently some people had been drinking and there was what was described as a “melee.”

*On Tuesday, Aug. 30, a Phoenix couple got into an altercation outside the Circle K on Shea Boulevard. The man said he was attacked by his girlfriend, but did not want to press charges. The man had a cut on his shoulder, but was unable to say specifically how it happened. The woman said the man had struck her and choked her while she was driving. Witnesses at the convenience store reported seeing the woman hit the man. The case was forwarded to detectives.

*On Thursday, Sept. 1, a Fountain Hills man reported someone used his identification information to open cellular phone accounts and his bank account was accessed without his permission.

*On Thursday, Sept. 1, deputies received a report that someone had struck a vehicle parked in a parking lot at Saguaro and Amhurst and left the scene.

*On Friday, Sept. 2, four Fountain Hills juveniles were arrested when they were found in possession of marijuana in Golden Eagle Park. They were taken into custody by plain clothes deputies patrolling the park during a high school football game. Charges were forwarded to the Juvenile County Attorney.

*On Saturday, Sept. 3, a Rio Verde Foothills resident reported a neighbor had violated a court order by cutting a lock off a water well serving two residences. The suspect admitted cutting the lock saying he needed the water. The information has been forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office to consider charges.

*On Wednesday, Sept. 7, a Fort McDowell man reported possible fraud when he was sent a check for excess funds in payment for sunglasses he was selling on the internet. He received a check for $1,750 for the glasses he was selling for $250. The bank has been alerted to possible fraud.

*On Friday, Sept. 9, a store clerk at Four Sons reported a man walked out of the store with two 18-packs of beer while a female accomplice distracted the clerk. The value of the beer is approximately $35.

*On Friday, Sept. 9, a white male subject reportedly left the Fry’s store on Shea Boulevard with six 30-packs of beer valued at $156.

On Saturday, Sept. 10, deputies investigated an accident involving three vehicles at the intersection of Fountain Hills and El Lago Boulevards. A motorist traveling south told deputies she was going through the intersection after the light changed when she was struck by a car making a turn from Fountain Hills to El Lago boulevards. The vehicle then struck a third vehicle. The driver of the vehicle making the turn was transported to the hospital. Deputies are investigating for possible impairment.

*On Tuesday, Sept. 6, a resident of the 16000 block of El Lago Boulevard reported the theft of a bicycle valued at $544.

*On Friday, Sept. 9, deputies arrested a man for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant at a home in the 15000 block of Brodiea Drive.

*On Monday, Sept. 5, a woman reported the theft of a laptop from her vehicle parked in the carport of a residence in the 16000 block of Gunsight Drive. She told deputies she felt sure she locked the car, but there was no sign of forced entry.
