Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the report and found one man still at the bar. He admitted he had been involved in the fight, but added he was defending himself.
Deputies located the second man about a block away, in the parking lot of the sheriff’s substation on Avenue of the Fountains.

One man was taken to the hospital following a report of a fight at a Fountain Hills bar on Friday, July 8.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the report and found one man still at the bar. He admitted he had been involved in the fight, but added he was defending himself.
Deputies located the second man about a block away, in the parking lot of the sheriff’s substation on Avenue of the Fountains.
A witness told deputies he saw the first man striking the second subject while he was on the ground. The second man was taken to the hospital by Rural/Metro ambulance for evaluation.
Neither man was cooperative with deputies and the case was closed without citation or arrest.
*On Tuesday, June 28, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone had broken a window in her front door at a residence in the 15000 block of Marathon Drive.
*On Wednesday, June 29, a San Carlos, Ariz. resident was stopped for speeding in Fountain Hills. He was cited for excessive speed, traveling 67 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50, and booked into jail on an outstanding warrant from Phoenix and driving with a suspended license.
*On Wednesday, June 29, a resident reported someone had pushed their mailbox out of the ground in the 14000 block of Saguaro Boulevard.
*On Wednesday, June 29, a Fountain Hills man reported a fraud after he gave his banking information to a woman he met at a strip club so she could transfer funds.
*On Thursday, June 30, a resident of the 15000 block of Echo Hill reported someone stole an iPad and a handgun from his vehicle parked in the driveway.
*On Thursday, June 30, a woman was arrested for domestic violence assault and domestic violence disorderly conduct following an incident at a residence in the 15000 block of Redbird Drive, Maricopa County.
*On Thursday, June 30, a Fountain Hills man was cited for criminal speed after he was found traveling 55 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35 at Fountain Hills Boulevard and Crystal Ridge Drive.
*On Thursday, June 30, a woman reported someone had taken an air compressor from the back yard of a home in the 16000 block of Heather Drive.
*On Thursday, June 30, a Fountain Hills woman reported her ex-boyfriend damaged items outside her residence in the 14000 block of Teakwood Drive.
*On Friday, July 1, a Glendale man reported someone used his personal information based on a previous address in Fountain Hills to open an account with a cable company.
*On Sunday, July 3, a Kansas woman reported someone stole her purse after she walked away from it briefly while at the splash pad in Fountain Park. The purse contained about $200 cash, bank cards and identification.
*On Thursday, June 30, sheriff’s deputies found an apparent marijuana growing operation at a residence in the 15000 block of Redbird Road in Maricopa County. The residents had no documentation they were certified as growers for medical marijuana. Deputies are submitting charges for possession of marijuana for sale, production of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies were called to the scene by a Scottsdale police officer observing the residence.
*On Sunday, July 3, a Phoenix man was stopped for speeding on Forest Road near Tonto Verde Drive traveling 70 where the speed limit is 45. He was booked into jail for driving with a suspended license, an outstanding warrant for his arrest and driving without insurance.
*On Tuesday, July 5, a Fountain Hills man reported identity theft when an unknown person used his ID to electronically file a tax return.
*On Monday, July 4, a resident of the 27000 block of N. 152nd Street, Maricopa County, reported someone stole his 2007 Chevy pick-up. He provided deputies with possible suspect information.
*On Wednesday, July 6, a Fountain Hills man was stopped for speeding near Shea Boulevard and Technology Drive and found to be driving with a suspended license. He was reportedly traveling 67 where the speed limit is 45.
*On Wednesday, July 6, a resident of the 16000 block of Bainbridge Drive reported someone broke into two vehicles parked on the carport and stole items.
