*Driving under the influence (DUI) charges are pending based on blood work after deputies stopped a 40-year-old male driver May 14 on La Montana and Hamilton Drives. Police stopped the vehicle after witnessing a collision with some barricades on N. Saguaro Boulevard near the Ashbrook wash construction.
The motorist admitted that he had been smoking marijuana but had a medical card to use it. Deputies said a field sobriety blood test revealed a .218 blood alcohol level.

*A Fountain Hills man reported a burglary of a golf cart valued at $2,000 from a construction site on Ambush Lane, Goldfield Ranch. The victim said the theft had occurred sometime in the last three weeks between April 17 and May 8.
*Deputies were dispatched May 2 to a Crystal Ridge Drive home to remove a 17-year-old male from the residence. The owner had previously told him he was trespassing and was not welcome at the house.
When the teen returned May 8, deputies were called and found the suspect hiding in a closet. He was arrested on criminal trespassing charges and remanded to Maricopa County Juvenile facility.
*On May 12, the Fountain Hills community drop-off box for unused or outdated medicines was emptied of 21.10 pounds and placed into property to be destroyed.
*A 67-year-old Rio Verde woman reported that unknown suspects had written fraudulent checks amounting to $2,491 from her business account. She said she had moved in March from Phoenix to Rio Verde and had been unable to find her checkbook.
*Deputies removed a male customer March 12 from Bruno’s Sports Bar on Parkview after he threatened the bartender sfter she told him to leave. She told deputies that he was intoxicated and arguing with other patrons.
*A 21-year-old N. Yerba Buena Way resident filed a complaint May 12 that an unknown suspect had thrown a rock at his parked vehicle and broke the back window.
*A 20-year-old male was charged May 13 with a violation of furnishing alcohol to two individuals under the legal drinking age. The two were 18 and 19 years old.
The threesome was found drinking in Desert Botanical Gardens, an area that is closed to the public from sunset to sunrise.
*On March 14, a 71-year-old Fountain Hills man was accused by a 55-year-old Scottsdale resident of assaulting him at a church fundraiser in FireRock Country Club. The victim said he was pushed to the floor. Both men were reportedly drinking. Charges are pending further investigation.
*A 61-year-old motorist was arrested May 9 for driving on a suspended license. Deputies stopped him at Saguaro Boulevard and Kingstree.
*On May 17, deputies received a report that two mountain bike rims valued at $150 were removed from a trailer parked at a Colony Drive business.
