The total number of reports is now more than a dozen seemingly related incidents scattered around town.
In most cases it was the windows of vehicles parked on the street or in driveways that were broken. In a few cases, however, it was residential windows that were damaged. Deputies found evidence that the front window of a home on Palomino Boulevard had been struck as many as nine times.

Sheriff’s deputies in Fountain Hills received additional reports from residents related to the Christmas Eve/Christmas Day series of windows being shot out.
The total number of reports is now more than a dozen seemingly related incidents scattered around town.
In most cases it was the windows of vehicles parked on the street or in driveways that were broken. In a few cases, however, it was residential windows that were damaged. Deputies found evidence that the front window of a home on Palomino Boulevard had been struck as many as nine times.
Deputies found evidence of BBs used to cause the damage.
*A 91-year-old Gilbert man who was the subject of a “Silver Alert” was located in Fountain Hills on Wednesday, Dec. 23. The man was at the Circle K store on Shea Boulevard when deputies were called. Fire department medics checked out the man and he was found to be in good health. He went home with family members.
*On Sunday, Dec. 27, a resident of the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro reported someone had stolen a motorized bicycle from their carport.
*On Sunday, Dec. 27, a Rio Verde man was cited for criminal speed traveling 71 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45 on McDowell Mountain Road.
*On Sunday, Dec. 27, deputies received a report from a real estate property manager that someone had burglarized a home in the 13000 block of Vista Del Lago. Appliances and furniture valued at $5,000 were taken from the vacant furnished rental.
*On Sunday, Dec. 27, a resident of the 17000 block of DeAnza reported someone had stolen a handgun from his vehicle.
*On Sunday, Dec. 27, deputies investigated a single vehicle accident at Danny Lane and Four Peaks Boulevard in Rio Verde. A motorist went off the road and struck a tree. He was taken to a Scottsdale hospital with minor injuries.
*On Monday, Dec. 28, the Target store in Fountain Hills reported a man had shoplifted cell phone accessories on Sunday, Dec. 27. A phone case valued at $100 was taken.
*On Tuesday, Dec. 22, a Fountain Hills man reported someone had wired $40,000 from his business account.
*On Wednesday, Dec. 16, a Fountain Hills woman reported a man stole a 55-inch television she was selling. He came to see the set and loaded it up and left without paying.
*On Thursday, Dec. 24, a Fountain Hills man reported his son made threatening remarks to do harm to him.
*On Saturday, Dec. 26, a resident of the 15000 block of Golden Eagle Boulevard reported someone had set off fireworks next to his front door.
*On Monday, Dec. 28, there were no injuries during a low speed rear-end collision on Fountain Hills Boulevard at El Lago. The vehicles were stopped for the southbound traffic signal when the vehicle behind moved ahead before the front one when the light changed. The man driving the rear vehicle was cited for failure to control his vehicle.
*On Wednesday, Dec. 30, deputies cited a Fountain Hills man for domestic violence criminal damage and domestic violence disorderly conduct. The man and his wife were arguing when he started throwing things around the house. He received a minor injury.
*On Friday, Dec. 25, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills woman for disorderly conduct and theft after she failed to pay for a night’s stay at a Fountain Hills hotel. She also refused to allow deputies to enter the room and they eventually forced entry to take her into custody. The woman was cited for the violations and released to her son.
*On Saturday, Dec. 26, a Fountain Hills man reported a possible fraud after receiving a fraudulent check for potential work. He was to take money for the work and return what was left.
*On Friday, Jan. 1, a Phoenix man was cited and released for driving with a suspended license. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.
*On Thursday, Dec. 31, a man received minor injuries when he was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Bashas’ grocery store. Assistant Fire Chief Dave Ott said the man accident was a low level impact and the pedestrian was taken to a Scottsdale hospital for further evaluation.
