Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies received a report from a Fountain Hills woman on Tuesday, Jan. 19, that her boyfriend had forced her out of her vehicle in the Fry’s grocery store parking lot and drove off with it.
The woman reported the two had argued and he assaulted her and she got out of the vehicle and he moved the driver’s seat and drove off.
Her car was later recovered in Scottsdale and she declined to pursue charges against the man.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies received a report from a Fountain Hills woman on Tuesday, Jan. 19, that her boyfriend had forced her out of her vehicle in the Fry’s grocery store parking lot and drove off with it.
The woman reported the two had argued and he assaulted her and she got out of the vehicle and he moved the driver’s seat and drove off.
Her car was later recovered in Scottsdale and she declined to pursue charges against the man.
*On Saturday, Jan. 2, a Phoenix man reported finding his personal pickup jacked up with all four tires and wheels removed. He was parked in a business lot in the 16000 block of E. Laser Drive. The value of the property is valued at $2,000.
*On Friday, Jan. 8, a Fountain Hills woman reported her purse was stolen from her parked car in a store parking lot in the 17000 block of Shea Boulevard. A bank card, driver license and prescription drugs were among the items in the purse. The loss is valued at $161.
*Deputies believe that a single vehicle crash on Palisades Boulevard at Westby Drive on Friday, Jan. 8, was alcohol related. The driver traveling eastbound crashed through a block wall on the westbound side of the street. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. Any charges are pending a DPS lab analysis of a blood sample.
*On Sunday, Jan. 10, deputies received a report of a hit and run vehicle accident in a parking lot at McDowell Mountain Park. A witness provided information on the vehicle, which was stopped by deputies on Fountain Hills Boulevard just south of Palisades. The driver admitted she was aware she struck the vehicle in the parking lot and she was cited.
*On Saturday, Jan. 9, deputies received a report from a resident in the 15000 block of E. Trevino Drive that someone had shot out the rear window of their vehicle parked on the street. It appeared the window was damaged with a BB or pellet gun.
*On Saturday, Jan. 9, a resident of the 15000 block of E. Trevino Drive reported someone had broken out the front window of his residence. It appears to have been shot with a BB or pellet gun.
*On Monday, Jan. 11, deputies investigated a collision on Avenue of the Fountains south of Palisades Boulevard. A woman pulling from a parking lot drive on the west side of the street struck a vehicle traveling north on Avenue of the Fountains. The driver pulling from the parking lot was cited for failing to yield.
*On Monday, Jan. 11, a woman reported her ID was used to obtain a credit card and money gram for $449.
*On Friday, Jan. 15, a Rio Verde woman was injured in a one-vehicle collision on Forest Road north of Rio Verde Drive. The woman was traveling north on the road when she failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree. Deputies believe alcohol was a factor in the accident. Charges are pending a DPS lab analysis of a blood sample.
*On Saturday, Jan. 16, a Scottsdale man, age 18, was cited for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard near Fountain Hills Boulevard. The man was allegedly traveling 76 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50.
*On Saturday, Jan. 16, a Fountain Hills man reported his wife assaulted him at their residence in the 16000 block of E. Segundo Drive. He said the two had been arguing over money when she hit and slapped him. He went to the hospital for treatment where deputies interviewed him. Charges were pending further investigation.
*On Sunday, Jan. 17, a resident of the 15000 block of Jericho Drive reported their mail box “blew up.” Damage is estimated at $200.
*On Monday, Jan. 18, deputies received a report of criminal damage, tagging, of a tunnel at SunRidge Canyon Gold Club. The damage is estimated at $100.
*On Tuesday, Jan. 19, a Fountain Hills man reported someone used fake checks on his business account to purchase items on Craigslist without his knowledge or consent.
*On Tuesday, Jan. 19, deputies investigated a collision in the 12000 block of N. Saguaro Boulevard. A vehicle traveling southbound on the frontage road was struck by a vehicle turning left onto the frontage road from a driveway.
*On Monday, Jan. 18, deputies received a report that two unidentified women had taken merchandise valued at $413 from the Target store without paying. The woman ran the merchandise through the checkout, but loaded it into a vehicle and left before they paid.
*On Monday, Jan. 18, an unknown male subject shoplifted a Bluetooth headset from the Fountain Hills Target store. The item is valued at $50.
*On Saturday, Jan. 23, a Waddell, Ariz. woman was arrested for violation of a court order at a home in the 14000 block of N. Armijo Drive in Fountain Hills.
