Sheriff’s deputies responding to a separate incident at the Lexington Hotel in Fountain Hills found a man being chased across the street by a second man.

A deputy stopped the pair and was told by one man he had driven the other from Mesa to Fountain Hills in his taxi, and now the suspect was attempting to flee without paying.

The suspect had also attempted to pay for the cab ride with a credit card with another name he claimed to be his uncle.

Sheriff’s deputies responding to a separate incident at the Lexington Hotel in Fountain Hills found a man being chased across the street by a second man.

A deputy stopped the pair and was told by one man he had driven the other from Mesa to Fountain Hills in his taxi, and now the suspect was attempting to flee without paying.

The suspect had also attempted to pay for the cab ride with a credit card with another name he claimed to be his uncle.

Deputies asked the man if he had any way to pay for the cab ride or knew someone who could. The man admitted that he didn’t.

Deputies arrested the suspect for theft of services, theft in using someone else’s credit card without permission and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia for items found in a backpack the suspect was carrying.

*On Thursday, June 4, a Mesa woman was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor in a case related to a runaway Fountain Hills juvenile female.

*On Sunday, June 21, a resident of the 16000 block of Glenbrook Boulevard reported the theft of decorative items valued at $275 from his yard.

*On Tuesday, June 23, a woman reported a burglary at the residence of her recently deceased father in Fountain Hills. She provided possible suspect information.

*On Thursday, June 25, a Phoenix woman was cited and released on traffic violations for having no driver license, no license plate light and no proof of insurance. She was released at the scene, but her vehicle was impounded.

*On Thursday, June 25, a resident of the 11000 block of Indigo Drive reported a swimming pool water pump valued at $1,200 had been stolen from their home.

*On Thursday, June 25, a Scottsdale man was stopped for a traffic violation near Shea Boulevard and the Beeline Highway. He was found to have a suspended driver license and suspended plates. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana.

*On Friday, June 26, two Fountain Hills juvenile suspects, a male and female, each age 16, were stopped for a license plate suspension near Grande and Saguaro boulevards. They were also cited for curfew violations and were found to have marijuana in the vehicle. The report has been forwarded to the Maricopa County Juvenile Attorney for possible possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.

*On Friday, June 26, an unknown suspect attempted to use a fraudulent $100 bill at a Fountain Hills liquor store.

*On Friday, June 26, deputies responded to a vehicle accident on private property in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard. A vehicle backing from a parking space struck a second vehicle also backing from a parking slot.

*On Friday, June 26, deputies arrested a Paulden, Ariz. man and a Phoenix woman after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood near Calle Del Oro and Yerba Buena. They found a stolen firearm, ficticous license plates on the vehicle, an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and the suspects provided a false name.

*On Saturday, June 27, deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident at El Lago and Teal Drive. They found a vehicle had gone off the road, damaged landscaping and struck a tree. A Fountain Hills woman driving the car was arrested for DUI. Official charges are pending results of a lab test.

*On Saturday, June 27, a man living in the 14000 block of Westlund Road in Maricopa County reported a woman had slapped him and kicked him in the groin. He told her to leave and deputies were not able to make immediate contact with her.

*On Saturday and Sunday, June 27 and 28, deputies received three separate reports of criminal damage by tagging. Those included incidents in the 16000 block of Gunsight Drive, a vehicle being keyed in the 13000 block of Sunridge Drive causing $2,500 in damage and buildings and the parking lot at Golden Eagle Park, causing $1,000 damage.

*On Sunday, June 14, a woman reported kitchen items and personal property missing from her parents’ home in the 13000 block of Mimosa Drive. The family reported a caregiver visits the parents on a regular basis, but there was no other suspect information.

*On Saturday, June 27, a woman living in the 29000 block of N. 136th Street reported her boyfriend assaulted her as she was trying to move out of the residence. There are no charges pending with this incident.

*On Sunday, June 28, deputies received a report of a burglary in the 16000 block of Bainbridge Avenue. Someone entered the home and removed a laptop valued at $1,200. A house sitter reported the incident and it was not known if anything else was taken.

*On Saturday, June 27, deputies were called to a two-vehicle, rear-end collision on Shea Boulevard at Crestview Drive. Both vehicles were westbound and the rear driver was cited for failure to control her vehicle.

*On Tuesday, June 30, a Mesa man was cited for excessive speed traveling on McDowell Mountain Road where the speed limit is 45. Radar checked the man’s speed at 81 miles per hour.

*On Tuesday, June 30, a Glendale man was accused of theft after he failed to pay a hotel bill for eight days at the Lexington Hotel in Fountain Hills. The bill was $500. Deputies were attempting to locate the suspect.

*A woman reported someone had stolen a white enclosed trailer from behind a business in the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard. A friend was to use the trailer to transport items belonging to them and the trailer’s owner to Michigan. When they arrived to pick it up the trailer was gone. It had the property belonging to the owner already packed. The owner is asking the help from the public in reporting a white trailer with Michigan license plate
