Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man on Wednesday, July 22, for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend at his residence in the 16000 block of El Lago Boulevard.

The woman called 911 to report that he had held her down to the floor and would not allow her to leave.

The suspect was arrested for assault and booked into Maricopa County Jail in Phoenix.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man on Wednesday, July 22, for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend at his residence in the 16000 block of El Lago Boulevard.

The woman called 911 to report that he had held her down to the floor and would not allow her to leave.

The suspect was arrested for assault and booked into Maricopa County Jail in Phoenix.

*On Friday, July 17, a woman reported the theft of two suitcases and her purse and laptop computer from a vehicle parked in the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro.

*On Saturday, July 18, deputies investigated a single-vehicle accident on Ponderosa Drive at Lost Hills. The man driving the car reported he swerved to avoid five javelinas crossing the road and lost control. He went off the road and into the bushes. He was not injured.

*On Saturday, July 18, a man was arrested for aggravated assault domestic violence at a residence in the 30000 block of N. 148th Street. The man was helping his sister move from their father’s residence when they argued and he allegedly grabbed her arm and twisted it and pushed her to the ground.

*On Sunday, July 19, deputies were called to a single-vehicle crash on Trevino Drive at Nicklaus Drive. The man driving was westbound on Trevino and he told deputies he was distracted by his phone ringing and a coyote ran in front of him. He lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road. He was not injured.

*On Monday, July 20, a manager at the Fountain Hills Radio Shack store reported someone had broken out the front window in an apparent burglary attempt. Nothing was taken, but damage is estimated at $1,000.

*On Saturday, July 18, a resident of the 12000 block of Chama Drive reported a laptop valued at $1,700 taken from a parked vehicle. There was no sign of forced entry.

*On Saturday, July 18, deputies received a theft report regarding two suspects who left the Denny’s restaurant without paying a $23.60 bill.

*On Sunday, July 12, a resident reported someone had stolen gold-plated flatware valued at $1,500 from a residence in the 14000 block of Caliente Drive.

*On Saturday, July 18, a resident of the 14000 block of Edgeworth Drive reported a burglary attempt after someone had damaged the front door frame as they tried to force it open.

*On Wednesday, July 22, deputies received an identity theft report from a man who said someone used his Social Security number to open a cellular phone account.

*On Thursday, July 16, deputies investigated a collision in the 17000 block of Kensington Place. A resident was backing out of his driveway when he struck a garbage truck in the street. Damage was minor and no one was injured.

*On Saturday, July 11, a resident of the 16000 block of Paradox Drive reported criminal littering when someone spread toilet paper over his landscape plants.

*On Wednesday, July 22, deputies responded to a reported hit and run when someone struck a fire hydrant on Sierra Madre Boulevard and Zapata Drive. The driver returned to the scene and told deputies he rounded a corner too fast and went off the road striking the hydrant.

*On Friday, July 24, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone had struck her vehicle while it was parked in the Fry’s parking lot at Shea Boulevard and Eagle Mountain Parkway. Deputies observed a video of the accident and traced the vehicle owner who was cited for failure to stay after striking an unattended vehicle.

*On Friday, July 24, deputies investigated a single-vehicle collision at Shea Boulevard and Balera Drive. The driver went off the road striking a stop sign and the condo complex sign. There were no injuries.

*On Friday, July 24, deputies received a report of three vehicles broken into in a shopping center parking lot at La Montana and Palisades Boulevard. A suspect was observed attempting to open closed cars in the parking lot. He was not immediately contacted by deputies.

*On Friday, July 24, a resident of the 16000 block of Alamosa Avenue reported a pair of sunglasses valued at $250 was stolen from her vehicle parked in her driveway.

*On Saturday, July 25, deputies received a report from security at the Fountain Hills Target store that someone had shoplifted a cellular phone valued at $100.

*On Saturday, July 25, a woman reported someone had stolen a small black bag with her credit cards from her hotel room on Shea Boulevard in Fountain Hills.

*On Sunday, July 26, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man for trespassing at the Target store as well as a previous shoplifting charge from another store in Fountain Hills.
