Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a woman screaming at an apartment next door to the caller in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard on Wednesday, June 10.

Deputies interviewed a man and a woman at the apartment where the screams were coming from. The couple said they had been at the river for the day and drinking. They got into an argument that escalated when they arrived home.

The woman said the man had attacked her, but they reported no sign of injury to her and determined she was the aggressor. She was arrested and cited for domestic violence assault and domestic violence disorderly conduct/fighting.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a woman screaming at an apartment next door to the caller in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard on Wednesday, June 10.

Deputies interviewed a man and a woman at the apartment where the screams were coming from. The couple said they had been at the river for the day and drinking. They got into an argument that escalated when they arrived home.

The woman said the man had attacked her, but they reported no sign of injury to her and determined she was the aggressor. She was arrested and cited for domestic violence assault and domestic violence disorderly conduct/fighting.

*On Friday, June 5, deputies responded to a report of a traffic accident involving a vehicle striking livestock on Rio Verde Drive near 146th Street. The caller said his son came in overnight and said he had struck a cow, but continued home. Deputies found the cow deceased near the accident scene and had it removed. The driver was cited for failure to control his vehicle to avoid a collision.

*On Friday, June 5, deputies were called to a traffic accident at Palisades and Eagle Ridge Drive. The motorist had driven into the median on Palisades and struck a cactus and tree. They continued to drive the vehicle west on Eagle Ridge Drive until the car died. The driver left the scene and was not immediately located.

*On Sunday, June 7, a Scottsdale woman, age 20, was stopped for a traffic violation at Palisades and Palomino boulevards and was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol. She was cited and released.

*On Monday, June 8, deputies received a report of criminal damage, tagging on the sidewalk in the 13000 block of Saguaro Boulevard.

*On Friday, June 5, deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 16000 block of Palisades Boulevard. A construction sweeper was backing up and struck a vehicle pulling from a driveway. The sweeper operator was cited for unsafe backing.

*On Saturday, June 6, deputies arrested and cited a man for shoplifting a drink valued at $2.35 from the Fountain Hills Safeway store. Store employees identified the suspect as a man who worked nearby where deputies located him.

*On Monday, June 8, a Colorado woman reported her purse was stolen while she was visiting Fountain Hills. She said the purse was last seen at a restaurant in the 16000 block of Palisades. The woman was preparing to fly home and provided deputies with the information and left to catch her plane. Airport security said they could accommodate her as long as she had documentation of the theft.

*On Monday, June 1, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills couple observed shoplifting on the store surveillance video at the Target store. The couple thought they were identified by security and left much of the merchandise they had taken, but left the store with perfume valued at $109.

*On Monday, June 8, a Phoenix woman reported her purse was taken from her vehicle while it was parked in the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains.

*On Tuesday, June 9, a resident of the 14000 block of Hampstead Drive reported someone broke into their home through a garage door and removed jewelry and a handgun from the residence.

*On Tuesday, June 9, the manager of the Fountain Hills Goodwill store reported finding a handgun in the store donation drop box. Deputies checked a weapons database and found the gun had not been reported stolen.

*On Friday, June 5, a woman reported her car was broken into while she was working in the 16000 block of Laser Drive. Her wallet with credit cards and driver license was stolen. The vehicle was not locked.
