A loud argument disturbing neighbors sent Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies to the area of Cholula Drive and Sunridge Drive on Sunday, June 14.

Deputies located the disturbance on Tabasco Drive just as some members of the family were leaving the scene.

Deputies determined two sisters argued with other family members about a dog owned by their brother. They had been drinking during a day at the river and the arguing escalated into some physical contact.

A loud argument disturbing neighbors sent Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies to the area of Cholula Drive and Sunridge Drive on Sunday, June 14.

Deputies located the disturbance on Tabasco Drive just as some members of the family were leaving the scene.

Deputies determined two sisters argued with other family members about a dog owned by their brother. They had been drinking during a day at the river and the arguing escalated into some physical contact.

The sisters face possible charges of domestic violence assault and domestic violence disorderly conduct.

*On Wednesday, June 10, deputies received a report of a vehicle parked in the 14000 block of Olympic Way had been struck by a hit and run driver. Deputies located the second, suspect vehicle in a parking lot in the 14000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard. The owner of the vehicle admitted he struck the other vehicle and fled out of fear. He is believed to have been impaired by marijuana.

*On Friday, June 12, owners of a fitness center in the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard provided deputies with surveillance video of a man attempting to enter the club using a 24-hour access card. When he failed to gain access he is seen forcing the door open. Charges are pending.

*On Tuesday, May 19, a resident of the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro reported a motorcycle stolen.

*On Sunday, June 14, deputies investigated a two-vehicle non-injury accident at El Lago and Fountain Hills boulevards. A driver pulling from an apartment complex driveway collided with a vehicle traveling west on El Lago. The driver pulling onto the street reported being distracted by trying to fold a sun shade. They cited for failure to control his speed to avoid a collision and failure to yield from a driveway.

*On Wednesday, June 17, deputies responded to the intersection of Golden Eagle Boulevard and Boulder Drive for a reported accident. Deputies found that a street sign in the median had been struck by a vehicle that had left the scene.

*On Monday, June 15, a Fountain Hills woman reported that someone had used her personal identification to file a fraudulent income tax return.

*On Monday, June 15, deputies cited a Chandler man for reckless driving at Shea Boulevard and Monterey Drive. He was pulled over after a deputy witnessed the man instigate a “road rage” incident with another driver. He attempted to force the other driver off the road after being cut off.

*On Saturday, June 13, a resident of the 15000 block of Centipede Drive reported someone had entered their home by forcing open French doors. They were unable to find anything missing.

*On Sunday, June 14, a resident of the 17000 block of Malta Drive reported someone had spread toilet paper and threw eggs at their home causing damage.

*On Wednesday, June 17, deputies responded to a report of threats made by one of two men allegedly involved in a theft incident that occurred on April 15. The two were partners in the theft of solar equipment belonging to the company owned by one of their mothers. On June 17, they had gone to a garage belonging to the father of the second suspect to retrieve the stolen items when one allegedly made a threat on the life of the second.

*On Wednesday, June 17, a Gilbert man was cited following a traffic stop on Palisades Boulevard at Westby Drive. Deputies determined by a check of records that the license plate had been suspended for insurance reasons. The man showed deputies a stack of temporary registration and citations he had not paid. He was cited for displaying a suspended license plate, having no proof of financial responsibility and driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded.

*On Wednesday, June 17, the Town of Fountain Hills Street Department supervisor reported criminal damage graffiti inside two concrete drainage culverts in the Golden Eagle Dam between Golden Eagle Park and Fountain Hills High School. A utility building on campus was also damaged.

*On Monday, June 15, a Rio Verde area woman reported she was notified by the IRS that someone had used her and her husband’s names and Social Security numbers to file a fraudulent income tax return.
