A man reported the woman confronted him in a grocery store parking lot and identified herself as a police officer. She was yelling at him and accusing him of reckless driving and speeding. She apparently followed the man to the parking lot to confront him.
During the course of the confrontation the woman allegedly struck the man with her elbow. The woman left the scene before deputies arrived, but a family member with the man wrote down a license number of her vehicle.

Sheriff’s deputies in Fountain Hills arrested a local woman on an alleged assault charge Wednesday, April 29.
A man reported the woman confronted him in a grocery store parking lot and identified herself as a police officer. She was yelling at him and accusing him of reckless driving and speeding. She apparently followed the man to the parking lot to confront him.
During the course of the confrontation the woman allegedly struck the man with her elbow. The woman left the scene before deputies arrived, but a family member with the man wrote down a license number of her vehicle.
Deputies went to the address of the registered owner of the vehicle. She told deputies she told the man she was going to report his driving to the police, adding she may have bumped him with her elbow.
*On Saturday, April 25, a man reported his rented Toyota 4Runner was stolen from the parking lot at Eagle Mountain Golf Club. He and others with him reported personal property valued at $3,500 was in the vehicle. They said the vehicle was locked.
*On Saturday, April 25, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone had cashed a forged check on her account for $3,350.
*On Monday, April 27, deputies received a report of criminal damage when a bike rack was pulled away from the bolts that secured it to a concrete sidewalk.
*On Monday, April 27, a resident of the 16000 block of Palisades Boulevard reported criminal damage with graffiti written on a parked business vehicle.
*On Monday, April 27, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone had stolen a vehicle parked in the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro. There were also household items stolen.
*On Tuesday, April 28, a Fountain Hills woman was cited for criminal speed in the Shea Boulevard construction area. She was traveling 40 miles per hour where the speed limit was posted at 25.
*On Wednesday, April 29, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man for violations of Town Code when he was found camping in a wash. MCSO received a noise complaint from a resident in an apartment complex adjacent to the wash. Deputies went to the area near Mountainside and Lost Hills drives where they located the man. He was cited for use of a town-owned wash after dark, creating a fire and overnight camping. All charges are misdemeanors, but the man was taken into custody.
*On Wednesday, April 29, a Fountain Hills woman reported an unknown male was harassing her and a female caregiver with telephone calls. They said the phone calls had been ongoing for a couple of months. The man called while the deputy was present and he was told by the deputy to stop harassing the pair.
