*A theft was reported on May 5 at Stratford Circle. Deputies responded to a reported verbal fight between two roommates. One, while in the act of packing for a move, discovered that their handgun had gone missing. The other roommate claimed to not be in possession of the firearm.
*A hit and run was reported on May 5 at 3:10 p.m. The incident took place in the Walgreen’s parking lot off Palisades Blvd. A witness informed the owner of the damaged car what had taken place, who then contacted authorities.
*Two more burglaries were recently reported in Fountain Hills. The first took place on Widgeon Court. The homeowner returned to discover their door was standing wide open. After contacting the authorities, it was discovered approximately $869 worth of items were missing from the home.
The second incident took place on Palomino Blvd., where $300 worth of patio furniture was reported missing.
*A stolen vehicle was reported on Blackbird Dr. The complainant informed officers that he and his wife had returned home from a short trip to discover the vehicle had gone missing. Their son was home and he was expressly told he was not allowed to drive the vehicle. Both sets of keys for the vehicle were kept secure, but one set was missing when the couple returned home.
The son returned with the vehicle during the investigation, but the owner chose to proceed with charges in the hopes that it would impart a lesson about actions and consequences.
*The Target on Shea Blvd. reported a shoplifting incident on May 3. The suspect was detained by store security when they were discovered leaving the store in possession of $40 in stolen items, despite the fact they had chosen to pay for other items.
*On May 3, an assault was reported on El Pueblo Blvd. involving a husband and wife. The pair had been out drinking earlier in the day and, when they returned home, the wife reported her husband had struck her in the back of the head. She locked herself in the bathroom and contacted the police, saying she was afraid.
When the husband was contacted, he said he had reached out to pat his wife on the back when she tripped and fell to the ground. He reported that she ran into the bathroom and would not speak to him, so he was confused about the entire affair.
The couple reported they had not been arguing before the incident and, though the woman stated she had fallen to the ground, injuring her knees, no bruises in that location, or on her head, could be identified.
The wife chose to follow through with charges and an arrest was made.
*An incident of indecent exposure was reported on Del Ray Dr. on April 25. A man was reported to be outside a residence, waving his genitals and yelling. The suspect was previously involved in many other incidents in the area, according to the report. The suspect was found naked in his home and, after some difficulty in making contact with him, he was arrested.
*A stolen credit card was used to purchase $176 in items at the Walgreens on Palisades Blvd., an incident that was discovered when the credit card owner found unusual charges listed on their statement.
Using the date of the charge and the help of Walgreen’s employees, a copy of the receipt was provided and matched to store surveillance video, providing an image of the suspect.
The Sheriff’s Office is currently trying to locate the individual thought to be involved in the incident.
