Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a traffic accident involving a motorcycle on Sunday, Jan. 25.

The accident occurred in front of the Four Peaks Condominium complex on Fountain Hills Boulevard. The motorcyclist was traveling south on Fountain Hills Boulevard when he collided with a car crossing into the condo complex driveway.

The motorist told deputies she was crossing from the shopping plaza and did not see the cyclist until the collision. She was cited for failing to yield from a private driveway.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a traffic accident involving a motorcycle on Sunday, Jan. 25.

The accident occurred in front of the Four Peaks Condominium complex on Fountain Hills Boulevard. The motorcyclist was traveling south on Fountain Hills Boulevard when he collided with a car crossing into the condo complex driveway.

The motorist told deputies she was crossing from the shopping plaza and did not see the cyclist until the collision. She was cited for failing to yield from a private driveway.

The motorcyclist was evaluated by Fire Department medical personnel.

*On Wednesday, Jan. 21, deputies arrested a Rio Verde man for DUI following a single-vehicle collision on McDowell Mountain Road. The vehicle went off the road, rolled and came to rest on a hillside. The man was uncooperative with deputies and fire personnel.

*On Friday, Jan. 23, a Chandler man was cited for excessive speed on Shea Boulevard in the construction zone. He was traveling 66 miles per hour where the speed limit is 25.

*On Friday, Jan. 23, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man for shoplifting from the Safeway store. He left the store without paying for a shopping cart containing merchandise valued at $308.

*On Friday, Jan. 23, deputies received a report of a hit-and-run accident in a parking lot at Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards. A witness provided the owner of the parked vehicle with a description of the vehicle that struck her car along with the license plate for deputies to follow up.

*On Saturday, Jan. 24, deputies responded to a three-vehicle collision at Palisades and Shea boulevards. A vehicle making a left turn from Palisades onto Shea was struck by a vehicle traveling west bound on Shea. One of those vehicles struck a third vehicle stopped on Palisades for the traffic light.

*On Friday, Jan. 23, a deputy stopped a Phoenix man for speeding on Shea Boulevard through the construction zone. The man was found to have a warrant for his arrest and a cancelled driver license. He was taken into custody and to jail in Phoenix.

*On Sunday, Jan. 25, the manager of a rental car agency on Saguaro Boulevard reported a license plate stolen from a recently retuned rental vehicle. The plate was removed after it was returned and parked at the rear of the building.

*On Monday, Jan. 26, deputies were called to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard for separate incidents related to auto theft. One call was an attempted to steal a vehicle after the owner got into the vehicle and discovered the steering column damaged and the console and glove box opened. There was no sign of forced entry and the owner was not certain the car was locked. In the second incident at man reported his pick-up truck stolen. It is valued at $12,000.

*On Tuesday, Jan. 27, a Fountain Hills man reported that kids had filled the cleanout access to the sewer line on his property with rocks.

*On Tuesday, Jan. 27, the owner of a car wash in the 16000 block of Parkview Ave. reported someone had caused $5,000 damage to a spray arm in one of the wash bays.

*On Wednesday, Jan. 28, deputies investigated a hit and run vehicle accident in which a traffic sign was struck by a vehicle hear Shea and Palisades boulevards.

*On Tuesday, Jan. 27, a motorist struck the building of the CVS pharmacy in the 16000 block of Palisades Boulevard and left the scene. They did leave information, but no insurance contact.

*On Thursday, Jan. 29, a Fountain Hills male juvenile was struck by a vehicle while he was riding his skateboard near Winchester and Sunburst drive. The driver asked if he was OK and then left the scene. The teen continued on his skateboard to the Boys and Girls Club where staff contacted emergency medical personnel. He was taken to the hospital.

*On Wednesday, Jan. 28, a resident of the 14000 block of El Pueblo Blvd. reported someone had broken into his vehicle and taken a laptop and tools valued at $1,174.

*On Sunday, Jan. 25, a Fountain Hills man reported receiving threatening text messages from a 17-year-old male who threatened him with physical harm and property damage.

*On Sunday, Feb. 1, deputies made a traffic stop near Shea and Saguaro boulevards and arrested the driver for a suspended license as well as alcohol violations related to an open container in the vehicle and drinking while driving.

*On Saturday, Jan. 31, deputies responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck the garage at a residence in 16000 block of Bayfield Drive. Deputies found the driver unconscious but he awoke to speak with deputies. He said he had been drinking, but did not think he was too drunk to drive. He remembered leaving a friend’s house, but nothing more until he was awakened by deputies at the scene of the crash. He was cited for DUI.

*On Saturday, Jan. 31, deputies received a report of a burglary in the 14000 block of Century Drive. Someone had broken into a vehicle and garage and taken property valued at $6,700.

*On Saturday, Jan. 31, a business owner in the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains reported someone had entered their business and removed $250 in cash. There was no forced entry.

*On Saturday, Jan. 31, a Fountain Hills woman reported she was assaulted by her daughter at their residence in the 15000 block of Sunburst Drive.

*On Sunday, Feb. 1, a Fountain Hills resident reported someone had caused damage to their swimming pool pump equipment.

*On Monday, Feb. 2, a woman reported being assaulted by another woman outside a bar in the 16000 block of Parkview Ave. She reported being punched in the face.
