Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fountain Hills woman for assault after she had a physical altercation with her husband on Tuesday, Dec. 30.

Deputies responded to a report of a drunken person disturbing at a residence in the 14000 block of Kingstree Boulevard. They were met by a man who appeared to have been in a fight.

The man said she started yelling and began grabbing and pulling at his shirt.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fountain Hills woman for assault after she had a physical altercation with her husband on Tuesday, Dec. 30.

Deputies responded to a report of a drunken person disturbing at a residence in the 14000 block of Kingstree Boulevard. They were met by a man who appeared to have been in a fight.

The man said she started yelling and began grabbing and pulling at his shirt.

Deputies reported they were unable to talk with the woman because she was intoxicated and incoherent. She was arrested for domestic violence assault and domestic violence disorderly conduct.

*On Sunday, Dec. 28, a woman went to the Sheriff’s substation in Fountain Hills to report she had been assaulted at a bar in the 11000 block of Saguaro Boulevard. The woman said she and another woman made incidental contact as they both bent down to pick up something that had fallen on the floor. The victim said for some reason the other woman knocked her head into the bar. She came to the Sheriff’s Office to report the incident, but was not cooperative in pursuing charges.

*On Saturday, Dec. 27, a deputy stopped a Fountain Hills man when he noticed an expired license tag on his vehicle. During the investigation it was discovered that the man’s driver license was suspended. The man said he was not aware of the suspension. He was arrested, cited and released. The vehicle and his license were impounded.

*On Monday, Dec. 29, a Rio Verde woman reported her purse had been stolen from a shopping cart in the parking lot of the Target center in Fountain Hills. She told deputies she had placed items from the cart into her vehicle and then left without picking up her purse. When she realized her purse was missing she returned to the parking spot and found it gone. Video surveillance recorded a woman picking up the purse and walking away. The victim estimated the loss at approximately $4,200 in cash, checks and the purse.

*On Tuesday, Dec. 30, a Fountain Hills restaurant owner called to report the restaurant had received about 100 harassing phone calls from the ex-boyfriend of an employee. The suspect had left the state and it was believed he was making the incessant calls in an effort to get the woman fired from her job. Deputies were able to contact the suspect’s mother and asked her to have him stop the calls. She reported she had contacted him and he promised to stop.

*On Tuesday, Dec. 30, a man and a woman were involved in a physical altercation at a residence in the 12000 block of Mimosa Drive. Deputies were filing charges against both subjects for domestic violence assault.

*On Tuesday, Dec. 30, deputies received a report from a resident of the 13000 block of Mimosa regarding the theft of a necklace valued at $606.

Deputies continue to watch for and cite drivers who are speeding through the construction zone on Shea Boulevard. On Monday, Dec. 29, a Chandler man and a Scottsdale man were each cited for excessive speed through the area. They were both traveling more than 50 miles per hour where the speed is posted at 25 miles per hour.

*On Wednesday, Dec. 31, deputies went to a home in the 16000 block of Monterey Drive looking for a man wanted on an outstanding warrant. While being taken into custody the man was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

*On Friday, Jan. 2, deputies responded to a traffic accident on Shea Boulevard just east of Eagle Mountain Parkway. A man traveling east on Shea stopped when he realized he passed the entrance to the Fry’s shopping center and backed up to get into the driveway. As he backed up he was struck by a woman coming out of the center parking lot. He was cited for unsafe backing and failure to have proof of insurance.

*On Saturday, Jan. 3, personnel at the American Grill on Avenue of the Fountains reported two unknown subjects left the restaurant without paying their bill for $63.

*On Sunday, Jan. 4, a Fountain Hills woman reported being harassed by an unknown male. She told deputies the man told her he has been watching her for years.
