The Sheriff’s Office called out a helicopter to help search the area for a suspect, but no one was located in the area.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a burglary attempt in the 13000 block of Kendall Drive Tuesday, Jan. 6.
The homeowner was out, but a houseguest reported someone attempted to break into the house through a bedroom window. The suspect fled when the person at home yelled at them to leave.
The Sheriff’s Office called out a helicopter to help search the area for a suspect, but no one was located in the area.
*On Friday, Dec. 19, the Town of Fountain Hills reported damage to two public art pieces on display in the Centennial Circle between the library and Community Center. Someone had pulled a wrench from the hand of the “Tin Man” and glass was broken on the “Waves and Windows” piece.
*On Monday, Jan. 5, a Phoenix woman reported receiving harassing text messages from a Fountain Hills man.
*On Monday, Jan. 5, a deputy responded to an office building in the 17000 block of Shea Boulevard for a report of a man in the women’s restroom. The man was located and said he was trying to get out of the cold. The man was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested. He was also found to be in possession of dangerous drugs.
*Deputies issued five citations Jan. 4-6 to motorists speeding in the construction zone on Shea Boulevard. All were traveling between 50 and 56 miles per hour where the current speed limit is 25 miles per hour. One stop, a California man, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
*On Monday, Jan. 5, a Fountain Hills man was arrested as he headed south on the Beeline Highway toward Mesa. A deputy stopped the man for speeding and driving in an erratic manner. He was driving with a suspended license.
*On Tuesday, Jan. 6, a Fountain Hills man reported someone had stolen a 20-foot flagpole from his residence in the 16000 block of Desert Sage.
*On Tuesday, Jan. 6, deputies had a trailer towed from the street on Mountainside Drive at Lost Hills. The owner was not known and there was no license plate or VIN number.
*On Monday, Dec. 22, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone took a pearl necklace from her home in the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard.
*On Tuesday, Jan. 6, deputies were called to a cell phone store in the Fountain Hills Plaza regarding a belligerent customer who refused to leave when asked. The man told deputies he would not talk with them. He referred them to his attorney and left the scene. According to the deputy’s report the attorney said the man suffered from a bi-polar condition. He was arrested at another location a short time later for disorderly conduct and trespassing.
*On Wednesday, Jan. 7, a Fort McDowell man was arrested for shoplifting a bag of chips from a store in the 17000 block of Shea Boulevard.
*On Wednesday, Jan. 7 a resident in the 31000 block of 160th Street in Maricopa County reported two 40-inch televisions taken from his residence.
On Wednesday, Jan. 7, a man was arrested for consuming alcohol on private property without the owner’s permission. He was found passed out in front of a fitness center in the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard.
*On Tuesday, Jan. 6, deputies received a report of several items missing and damage to a home in the 18000 block of Four Peaks Boulevard in Rio Verde. Deputies were told the items were gone after a renter moved out. The renter told the deputy that the items were placed in storage and they had not had the chance to return them to the home. The deputy determined that the damage was a civil matter.
*On Thursday, Jan. 8, a Fountain Hills woman reported a man who she has an order of protection against attempted to contact her several times by phone on Jan. 7 and Jan. 8.
*On Friday, Jan. 9, deputies were called to a reported accident at Fairlynn and Heather drives where someone had struck a mailbox and left the scene. The driver was located by license plate information and returned to apologize and pay for damage. He was cited for failure to control speed to avoid a collision.
*On Saturday, Jan. 10, deputies received a report of a hit and run on Olympic Way at Kings Way. Someone struck a parked car and left the scene. The driver was located by following leaking fluid. They were cited for failure to control their vehicle to avoid a collision. Further charges are pending lab analysis.
