Deputies were called after the man allegedly threatened employees at the restaurant. The man had apparently asked for a drink and when he was refused he started arguing with the bartender.
He told deputies the bartender had taken his keys and his credit card. The keys were picked up by an employee who felt the man was too intoxicated to drive. The credit card was later found in the suspect’s shirt pocket.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man for “seriously disruptive behavior” at a restaurant in the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains on Monday, Sept. 22.
Deputies were called after the man allegedly threatened employees at the restaurant. The man had apparently asked for a drink and when he was refused he started arguing with the bartender.
He told deputies the bartender had taken his keys and his credit card. The keys were picked up by an employee who felt the man was too intoxicated to drive. The credit card was later found in the suspect’s shirt pocket.
When deputies arrived they escorted the man outside to the cheers and applause of other patrons in the restaurant. He was arrested for disorderly conduct.
*On Tuesday, Sept. 16, deputies responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle near El Pueblo Boulevard and Calaveras Ave. arrested a Maricopa, Ariz. man on an outstanding warrant and driving with a suspended license.
*On Monday, Sept. 22, a Fountain Hills man reported someone had stolen a stereo faceplate from his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway in the 11000 block of Saguaro Boulevard.
*On Monday, Sept. 22, deputies received a report from a resident on N. 138th Street in Maricopa County that one of their neighbors was stealing water from a well where they were part of a shared agreement. The suspect was allegedly not paying for the water he was taking. Deputies forwarded the complaint to detectives who determined it was a civil matter.
*On Tuesday, Sept. 23, a Fountain Hills woman reported her vehicle was stolen while she was at a bar in the 16000 block of Parkview Ave. She believed someone had taken her keys while she was in the bar and left with her car. A man was seen driving away in the vehicle, which was later recovered at Fort McDowell.
*On Monday, Sept. 22, deputies investigated a single-vehicle accident on Golden Eagle Boulevard. The driver said he possibly fell asleep and drove into the median damaging landscaping before striking a sign.
*On Tuesday, Sept. 23, deputies were asked to assist in locating a vehicle reported traveling south in the northbound lanes of SR-87 north of Fountain Hills. Officers located the vehicle pulled to the side of the road partially blocking a traffic lane. The driver was arrested for extreme DUI.
*On Wednesday, Sept. 24, a Glendale man was arrested for shoplifting a mixer valued at $300 from the Target store in Fountain Hills on Sept. 16.
*On Wednesday, Sept. 24, deputies took a report that someone had taken jewelry items valued at $30 from the Target store in Fountain Hills.
*On Monday, Sept. 22, a Fountain Hills man reported someone used his identification and credit card to purchase a cell phone without his permission.
*On Monday, Sept. 22, a juvenile male, age 16, was found in possession of marijuana on the Fountain Hills High School campus. Charges have been submitted to the Maricopa County juvenile attorney.
*On Saturday, Sept. 20, a juvenile male, age 15, from Scottsdale was found in possession marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on a vehicle he was a passenger in Fountain Hills. Charges have been submitted to the Maricopa County juvenile attorney.
*On Saturday, Sept. 20, a male juvenile from Paradise Valley was arrested for an alcohol violation, underage driving with alcohol in his system. The driver and four others in the vehicle were also cited for a curfew violation.
*On Saturday, Sept. 20, a resident on Bristol Bay in Fountain Hills reported someone had struck and knocked over her mailbox while she was out of town between Sept. 11 and Sept. 20.
*On Wednesday, Sept. 24, a teacher at Fountain Hills High School reported she had been contacted by a former student after he was told not to make contact with her again.
*On Friday, Sept. 26, a juvenile female, age 13, was found in possession of marijuana at Fountain Hills Middle School.
*On Friday, Sept. 26, a resident reported someone had stolen bank cards from her vehicle and withdrawn $500 from an ATM.
*On Saturday, Sept. 27, deputies investigated a single-vehicle accident on Shea Boulevard west of Eagle Mountain Parkway. The driver said a splash from a passing vehicle during the rainstorm caused him to lose control and drive across the median. He was driving with a suspended license and was cited for speed not reasonable and prudent.
*On Sunday, Sept. 28, deputies arrested a Tolleson woman for DUI after she was found unconscious in her vehicle with the engine running parked beside the gas pumps at the Circle K at Saguaro and Shea boulevards.
*On Sunday, Sept. 28, a Phoenix man was cited for traveling 66 miles per hour on McDowell Mountain Road where the speed limit is 45. He was also cited for no registration in the vehicle, no proof of insurance and driving without glasses per a license restriction.
*On Sunday, Sept. 28, a resident of the 15000 block of Cholla Drive reported someone had stolen a 10-foot ladder valued at $200 from beside his house.
