A woman found dead in a parked vehicle at a Fountain Hills shopping center June 26 died of toxicity of multiple drugs in her system, according to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The report forwarded to the Sheriff’s Office last week said that Angela Cantwell, an Oregon woman, died with a blood alcohol level of .22 along with fluoxetine and nor-fluoxetine in her system.
The report also indicated she had a heart condition that may also have contributed to her death as well as the heat in the closed vehicle.

A woman found dead in a parked vehicle at a Fountain Hills shopping center June 26 died of toxicity of multiple drugs in her system, according to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The report forwarded to the Sheriff’s Office last week said that Angela Cantwell, an Oregon woman, died with a blood alcohol level of .22 along with fluoxetine and nor-fluoxetine in her system.
The report also indicated she had a heart condition that may also have contributed to her death as well as the heat in the closed vehicle.
While the report indicates the drugs are the cause of her death, it stated the manner of her death is undetermined.
Cantwell was staying with a friend in Fountain Hills and reportedly went to Chandler for a job interview and did not return. Deputies located the vehicle she had borrowed from the friend, along with her body, shortly after the friend reported her missing.
*A deputy working patrol in the northern part of the district issued three citations for excessive/criminal speed on Saturday, Oct. 18. A Cave Creek resident was found to be traveling 81 miles per hour along McDowell Mountain Road where the speed limit is 45. A Mesa man was traveling 79 miles per hour on Rio Verde Drive where the speed limit is 50, and a Scottsdale man was driving 70 miles per hour along Rio Verde Drive where the limit is 50.
*On Monday, Oct. 20, a resident reported that someone had shot their dog with a paintball gun in the 16000 block of Montrose Drive.
*On Monday, Oct. 20, deputies received a report of a subject with a gun in the 14000 block of Sherwood Drive. A man took the gun outside when he learned someone was trying to steal his girlfriend’s car. The vehicle was being repossessed. The man said he never threatened the men attempting to retrieve the vehicle.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 21, a Rio Verde woman was injured when she fell from her bicycle on McDowell Mountain Road.
On Tuesday, Oct. 21, deputies responded to a report of a fight between a man and his girlfriend in the 29000 block of 145th Place in Maricopa County. There were no witnesses and the stories of the two were conflicting. There were no charges.
*On Thursday, Oct. 23, deputies responded to a vehicle collision at Grande and Saguaro boulevards. A vehicle stopped for the traffic light was struck from behind by a second vehicle. Damage was minor and there were no injuries.
*On Thursday, Oct. 23, deputies investigated a report that a minor female, age 14, was assaulted by her father.
*On Friday, Oct. 24, a Fountain Hills woman reported her 17-year-old daughter was a run-away.
*On Saturday, Oct. 25, deputies responded to a report of criminal damage when someone threw a rock through the window of a restaurant in the 16000 block of Parkview Avenue. Deputies located a Scottsdale man who had been drinking hiding in the bushes near the scene. He said he was waiting for his father to give him a ride. The man was arrested on two outstanding warrants and also for possession of dangerous drugs that were found on him. He did not appear to have any connection with the criminal damage incident.
*On Sunday, Oct. 26, deputies responded to a report of criminal damage in the 15000 block of Tumbleweed Drive. A man and woman were arrested for fighting after she allegedly struck him in the face with a soda can and he grabbed her by the neck and pushed her to the ground. She then drove her vehicle into his garage door causing damage. She was cited for disorderly conduct and criminal damage and he was cited for disorderly conduct.
