Deputies were told the altercation began when the man called the front desk to complain about loud music coming from the restaurant area.
The man came to the front desk upset and yelling profanities at the manager and an assistant working in the restaurant. He reportedly threw the room key card across the counter and struck the manager in the face with his hand.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Minnesota man on Wednesday, Aug. 28, after he allegedly assaulted the manager of the Lexington Hotel in Fountain Hills.
Deputies were told the altercation began when the man called the front desk to complain about loud music coming from the restaurant area.
The man came to the front desk upset and yelling profanities at the manager and an assistant working in the restaurant. He reportedly threw the room key card across the counter and struck the manager in the face with his hand.
Deputies found the man, who is reportedly 71 years old, in the hotel parking lot and took him into custody. He faces possible charges for assault and disorderly conduct.
*On Sunday, Aug. 24, deputies were called to a two-vehicle accident on Bainbridge Avenue at the intersection with Fayette/Hampstead drives. A man traveling south on Fayette reported he stopped at the stop sign and waited for a truck to go through the intersection. When he pulled through he struck an eastbound vehicle that had been behind the truck but did not stop. That driver was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.
*At around 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24, deputies responded to another accident on Fountain Hills Boulevard near Sherwood Drive. A motorist traveling northbound on Fountain Hills Boulevard struck a parked vehicle causing it to go into a yard and damaging landscaping. The woman driving the vehicle was arrested for extreme DUI with a blood alcohol level greater than .20.
*On Saturday, Aug. 23, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone had been using her credit card and Social Security number without her knowledge or consent to apply for credit cards and loans with a loss value of $17,000.
*On Monday, Aug. 25, a man reported someone had stolen a dump trailer with equipment from a construction site in the 18000 block of Ironwood Circle in the Rio Verde area. The value of the loss is estimated at $8,900.
*On Monday, Aug. 25, deputies received a report of criminal damage when someone pried up a parking block in the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains.
*On Monday, Aug. 25, a man reported the theft of a battery from his chuck wagon trailer parked near 136th Street and Rio Verde Drive. The value is $347.
*On Thursday, Aug. 21, a man reported criminal damage to his Airstream trailer and a Cross Fifth Wheel parked at a storage yard in the 12000 block of Falcon Drive.
*On Tuesday, Aug. 26, deputies investigated a collision involving two vehicles on Palisades Boulevard at Sunburst Drive. Both vehicles were traveling north on Palisades when one vehicle attempted to make a right turn onto Sunburst and struck the other vehicle. Fire Department paramedics transported the two people in the one vehicle to the hospital for observation. The driver of the other vehicle was cited for an unsafe lane change.
*On Tuesday, Aug. 26, a driver was cited for unsafe backing after she struck a vehicle behind her as she attempted to make a lane change at Avenue of the Fountains and Palisades Boulevard. She also had no vehicle registration in the vehicle.
*On Thursday, Aug. 21, two juvenile females, age 14, reported a man driving a small dark colored sedan with a spoiler stopped while they were walking on Del Cambre Avenue and shouted something at them. They ran off and the driver drove away. The vehicle matches the general description of one involved in a similar incident Sunday, Aug. 17, in the same neighborhood.
