Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fountain Hills woman for assaulting a peace officer after they responded to a report of a possible domestic violence incident Saturday, Sept. 6.

Dispatchers reported there was a woman yelling and then the phone went dead.

When deputies arrived they asked her to come outside so they could talk with her and she refused and tried to walk away. When a deputy attempted to block her path she reportedly grabbed the deputy by the arm and scratched him.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fountain Hills woman for assaulting a peace officer after they responded to a report of a possible domestic violence incident Saturday, Sept. 6.

Dispatchers reported there was a woman yelling and then the phone went dead.

When deputies arrived they asked her to come outside so they could talk with her and she refused and tried to walk away. When a deputy attempted to block her path she reportedly grabbed the deputy by the arm and scratched him.

Deputies also reported she resisted as they attempted to handcuff her and lead her to a patrol vehicle.

She faces charges for aggravated assault on a peace officer and disorderly conduct in resisting arrest.

*On Monday, Sept. 1, deputies arrested a California woman for extreme DUI with a blood alcohol level exceeding .20. Employees of the Fry’s supermarket on Shea Boulevard reported the woman was in her vehicle and intoxicated. She made contact with employees apparently looking for a ride home. Deputies found the woman sitting behind the wheel of her vehicle.

*On Friday, Aug. 29, a Fountain Hills resident reported someone had pried open a door to their residence in the 16000 block of Gunsight Drive. A watch, ring and coins were reported stolen.

*On Thursday, Aug. 28, deputies were called to the 15000 block of Dixileta Drive on a domestic violence report. A woman reported her brother pushed her to the ground and placed his knee on her chest to hold her down and struck her, and grabbed her by the hair. The suspect had left the scene when deputies arrived.

*On Friday, Aug. 29, someone struck a fire hydrant in a parking lot at Saguaro and Amhurst Drive and left the scene.

*On Friday, Aug. 29, deputies responded with firefighters for a small brush fire in a wash near Yerba Buena.

*On Saturday, Aug. 30, a resident of the 16000 block of Venetian Way reported that property valued at $2,000 was stolen from their home. The residence was in transition between a seller and new buyer when the property went missing.

*On Saturday, Aug. 30, a resident of the 17000 block of Calaveras Ave. reported finding a green leafy substance in his grandson’s room. The 16-year-old grandson was referred to Maricopa County juvenile attorney for possession of marijuana (less than two pounds) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

*On Sunday, Aug. 31, residences of the 16000 block of Fairlynn Drive reported someone had removed mail from their mailboxes. The incident is the jurisdiction of the U.S. Postal Inspector.

*On Monday, Sept. 1, after receiving a certified letter containing the bill of sale for a sail boat, a Fountain Hills woman reported theft because she had never authorized the sale of the boat to the other party.

*On Monday, Sept. 1, a Fountain Hills man reported someone removed property from two vehicles parked at a residence in the 14000 block of Fairlynn Drive. The property was valued at $300.

*On Monday, Sept. 1, a Fountain Hills man reported feeling threatened by a man he had evicted from a rental property. They had a dispute regarding a security deposit. The two agreed not to contact one another regarding the incident.

*On Tuesday, Sept. 2, a resident of the 16000 block of Arrow Drive reported a neighbor was away but their garage door was partially open. Deputies checked and secured the property, but were unable to make contact with the property owner.

*Monday, Sept. 1, a man was seen videotaping the area around the law enforcement parking lot at Town Hall. Deputies made contact with the man but took no action as there were no violations of law.

*On Monday, Sept. 1, a resident reported that someone had broken into a vehicle in the 16000 block of Fayette Drive and removed tools valued at $1,200.

*On Tuesday, Sept. 2, a resident reported that someone unknown had used his debit card to make purchases at three merchants totaling $900.

*On Wednesday, Sept. 3, a Fountain Hills woman reported a handgun stolen from her home.

* On Thursday, Sept. 4, a woman reported someone had entered her unlocked vehicle and stolen her purse, wallet and two cell phones.

*On Thursday, Sept. 4, deputies responded with firefighters to a palm tree struck by lightning in the 15000 block of Aspen Drive.

*On Friday, Sept. 5, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for felony DUI. She reportedly had an open container in the passenger compartment, possession of drug paraphernalia and was driving with a suspended license.

*On Friday, Sept. 5, a Fountain Hills man reported receiving threatening phone calls at his residence. The caller was saying “I finally found you” and “I’m coming to get you.” He did not know who it might be, or any reason for the threat.

*On Saturday, Sept. 6, a suspect in a shoplifting incident at the Fountain Hills Target was identified and the case was forwarded to detectives.

*On Saturday, Sept. 6, employees of a moving company allegedly removed tools and cigarettes from a residence in the 16000 block of Balsam Drive.

*On Saturday, Sept. 6, deputies responded with firefighters to a vehicle fire in the 16000 block of Bayfield Drive.

*On Sunday, Sept. 7, a Maricopa man was arrested for felony DUI after he was stopped for erratic driving. His license had been suspended.

*On Thursday, Sept. 4, there was a fire in the bakery at the Fountain Hills Safeway store. Water made contact with electrical wiring as an employee was cleaning a cooler.
