Sheriff’ deputies were on the scene most of the day Sunday, July 23, following a reported aggravated assault at the Lexington Hotel in Fountain Hills.

The incident is still under investigation but deputies questioned six or more people who were in a hotel suite when the incident occurred.

One witness reported seeing one man punch the second man. Deputies reported seeing a lot of blood around the room including an adjoining bedroom and bath.

Sheriff’ deputies were on the scene most of the day Sunday, July 23, following a reported aggravated assault at the Lexington Hotel in Fountain Hills.

The incident is still under investigation but deputies questioned six or more people who were in a hotel suite when the incident occurred.

One witness reported seeing one man punch the second man. Deputies reported seeing a lot of blood around the room including an adjoining bedroom and bath.

Hotel management asked that those involved be removed from the property and trespassed so they cannot return.

One woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Tempe.

*On Monday, July 14, a Fountain Hills man was cited for criminal littering after a resident of the 10000 block of Nelson Drive reported the suspect had habitually thrown beer cans from his vehicle over a nine-month period.

*On Sunday, July 13, a woman reported two cell phones stolen while they were in the Needle Rock Recreation Area north of Rio Verde. The phones had a reported total value of $1,000.

*On Thursday, July 10, a resident of the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro reported someone had damaged a vehicle parked in a driveway.

*On Saturday, July 5, a resident in the 13000 block of Panorama Drive reported damage to their vehicle parked within a gated community. They did note that there were landscapers in the area trimming trees. The landscape company reported no incidents to the homeowners association.

*On Wednesday, July 16, deputies questioned four juvenile males regarding shooting an Airsoft rifle toward neighboring property. The youths admitted shooting the gun, but denied they intentionally aimed at other houses. The report was forwarded to the town prosecutor for a code violation of discharging a weapon within the town boundary.

*On Sunday, July 13, deputies received a report that an unidentified man walked into the kitchen at a local restaurant and threatened the cook because his meal was not as he ordered it.

*On Thursday, July 17, a Fountain Hills businessman reported fraud when a man representing himself as a licensed contractor attempted to get a job doing repair work.

*On Friday, July 18, two Fountain Hills juvenile females, ages 17 and nine, were cited for curfew violation after deputies made a traffic stop at 3:24 a.m.

*On Friday, July 18, a woman reported another motorist had struck her vehicle and drove away after she called police about the accident.

*On Saturday, July 19, two male juveniles, age 14, were found on the roof of a commercial building along Saguaro Boulevard where they were throwing “Pop-it” devices at passing vehicles on Saguaro. Deputies found the building was not secured and there were no signs posted against trespassing.

*On Sunday, July 20, a Peoria woman was cited for excessive speed on Shea Boulevard where she was found to be traveling 78 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50.

*On Sunday, July 20, deputies investigated a two vehicle collision at Saguaro Boulevard and La Montana Drive. One driver was entering the intersection after trying to get electronic directions to his destination. He was struck by a second driver who was distracted momentarily adjusting the radio.

*A Fountain Hills couple has been reported killed in a single vehicle rollover accident along interstate 40 in New Mexico on Sunday, July 20. New Mexico State Police said that George Olsen, 67, and Paulette Olsen, 66, were pronounced dead at the scene about 20 miles east of Tucumcari. They had been ejected from the vehicle. It is not clear who was driving, neither was wearing a seatbelt.
