Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported theft of jewelry from a residence in the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains.

The victim reported she believes the theft occurred sometime in April. She delayed reporting the incident believing she may have just misplaced the items. The incident was reported on Friday, June 6.

However, with the help of staff at the retirement community where she lives she has been unable to locate the jewelry.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported theft of jewelry from a residence in the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains.

The victim reported she believes the theft occurred sometime in April. She delayed reporting the incident believing she may have just misplaced the items. The incident was reported on Friday, June 6.

However, with the help of staff at the retirement community where she lives she has been unable to locate the jewelry.

Deputies were told that several service and care personnel are in and out of residences on a regular basis.

The value of the missing jewelry is estimated at $11,421.

*On Monday, June 2, a Snowflake man was arrested in connection with a shoplifting incident at the Fountain Hills Bashas’ store. The man, age 29, was detained by store personnel after he was seen leaving with merchandise valued at $36.

*On Wednesday, May 14, a Fountain Hills man reported fraud after he purchased a gun for $375 online and the check was cashed, but the gun was never delivered.

*On Tuesday, June 3, a Glendale man allegedly violated a court order when he made telephone contact with his ex-wife living in Fountain Hills.

*On Sunday, June 1, deputies received a report that two sisters had been involved in an alleged physical confrontation after an argument. The report appears to be unfounded.

*On Saturday, May 24, a man was taken to a Scottsdale hospital after he fell from the back of an ATV he was riding as a passenger. The accident occurred in the 31000 block of N. 138th Place in Maricopa County.

*On Monday, May 26, a Fountain Hills woman reported that her juvenile stepson exposed himself in front of her nine-year-old daughter. The information was forwarded to the MCSO SVU for follow up.

*On Thursday, June 5, deputies investigated a vehicle accident on Shea Boulevard near Eagle Mountain Parkway. Both vehicles were westbound when the driver of one attempted to change lanes and collided with the second vehicle while merging. A citation was issued for an unsafe lane change.

*On Saturday, June 7, a female subject was seen leaving the Fountain Hills Safeway store with groceries she had not paid for. Deputies were able to locate the suspect and were told the woman had gone back to the store and paid for the items. She told deputies she was stressed and confused at the time she went shopping and simply left without paying. The case was closed with no charges filed.

*A Fountain Hills man reported his juvenile daughter had been having sexual relations with a 19-year-old man for about a year. The information was forwarded to the MCSO SVU for follow up.

*On Saturday, June 7, deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on Fountain Hills Boulevard near Ashbook Drive. The driver told deputies he apparently fell asleep and swerved onto the median taking out a traffic sign and bushes before striking a tree.

*On Sunday, June 8, deputies received a report of criminal damage from a resident in the 16000 block of Montgomery Road in Maricopa County. Someone had damaged a water hose and water tank was drained. The financial loss is estimated at $605.
