Three were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters. Those patients were transported to a Scottsdale trauma center and three others were taken to other Valley hospitals.

Several emergency response agencies were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at Shea Boulevard and the Beeline Highway about 8:20 p.m. Friday, June 13.
According to Fountain Hills Fire Chief Randy Roberts, there were six patients to be treated from the two vehicles.
Three were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters. Those patients were transported to a Scottsdale trauma center and three others were taken to other Valley hospitals.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety was investigating the cause of the crash with the assistance of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
All Fountain Hills Fire Department units responded to the scene along with emergency units from Fort McDowell and Salt River fire departments. Rio Verde Fire District moved units to Fountain Hills for backup.
*Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a Mesa woman as a suspect in a check fraud incident in Fountain Hills. The woman went into the Wells Fargo branch office on Palisades Boulevard and attempted to cash a check. The teller confirmed with the account holder that they did not write the check. The woman left without the check or money. MCSO is submitting charges to the county attorney for fraudulent schemes, criminal simulation and forgery.
*On Tuesday, June 10, deputies assisted firefighters in making entry into a residence to reach an individual with a medical issue.
*On Wednesday, June 11, a Fountain Hills man called to report his 17-year-old son missing at about 3 a.m. He later called to report his son had returned home about 5:20 a.m.
*On Tuesday, June 10, deputies received a report from guests at the CopperWynd Resort that someone had entered their room and stolen a cellphone, iPad and cash. A total value of the property is $1,060.
*On Thursday, June 12, deputies also received reports from CopperWynd that someone had entered a locker room and removed cash from several lockers between June 9 and June 12. Resort personnel identified a suspect as a Fountain Hills man, age 26, who had been seen on the property. He had previously been told to by management to leave and not return.
*On Wednesday, May 21, a man reported that he had been notified by the IRS that someone had been using his personal information and identity for tax purposes.
*On Tuesday, June 10, deputies responded to a report of an injured 10-year-old girl who was home alone without adult supervision. The girl had a minor injury that was treated by firefighters at the scene. The girl’s father was working and told deputies she stays alone while he is a work, but there is a relative a few doors away who checks on her periodically. The father said he would make better arrangements for her care.
*On Friday, June 13, deputies were called to a reported hit and run in the parking lot at the Fry’s grocery store on Shea Boulevard. A witness told deputies they saw a vehicle back into a car and leave the scene. The witness provided a license plate number. Deputies contacted the registered owner of the vehicle who reported he realized he hit something but saw no damage so he left. He was cited.
*On Thursday, June 14, deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on Saguaro Boulevard at Parkview Avenue. The driver told deputies he was making a U-turn and lost control when his foot slipped off the brake. The car went into the median and struck a palm tree.
*On Thursday, June 14, deputies received a report from the Circle K on Shea Boulevard that a male suspect had left the store with two 30-packs of beer without paying.
*On Sunday, June 15, deputies investigated a collision at Saguaro and Shea boulevards. A driver traveling east was making a left turn when he was struck by a westbound vehicle. He was cited for an illegal left turn and failure to control his vehicle to avoid a collision.
*On Monday, June 16, a bicyclist was injured in an accident near Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards. According to Assistant Fire Chief Dave Ott, a mechanical issue caused the wheels to lock on the bike sending the rider over the handlebars to the pavement. The cyclist was not wearing a helmet and was transported to Scottsdale Healthcare-Osborn trauma center for treatment of head and neck injuries.
