A man and a woman were arrested by Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday, April 29, in connection with check fraud on the account of a local business.
The woman successfully cashed one check for $2,000, but was unable to cash a second one in the amount of $4,000. She told deputies she cashed the checks for the male suspect because he was to pay her a portion of the amount, and she needed the money.
