Maricopa County Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate an assault of a Fountain Hills woman on Saturday, March 29.

Deputies were called to the scene by a house guest who reported finding the woman unconscious in the residence in the 9000 block of Four Peaks Way. The caller reported they did not witness the assault and they left the scene soon after talking with detectives.

The caller reported an argument between the woman and her husband prior to finding her. The victim had apparently left the house but returned after becoming involved in a single-vehicle car crash a short distance away.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate an assault of a Fountain Hills woman on Saturday, March 29.

Deputies were called to the scene by a house guest who reported finding the woman unconscious in the residence in the 9000 block of Four Peaks Way. The caller reported they did not witness the assault and they left the scene soon after talking with detectives.

The caller reported an argument between the woman and her husband prior to finding her. The victim had apparently left the house but returned after becoming involved in a single-vehicle car crash a short distance away.

The victim sustained a severe laceration to her head and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Detectives questioned the husband, but he was uncooperative when they could not give him a report on his wife’s condition.

*On Tuesday, March 25, a Fountain Hills man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to a report of two men trying to break into a truck on Bayfield Drive.

The two men said they were trying to retrieve some of their personal belongings from the truck. The homeowner was called and he told deputies he knew the two men but there was nothing in the truck that belonged to them. The suspect was arrested after a deputy noticed a glass smoking pipe on the sidewalk next to where he was sitting.

*On Saturday, March 8, deputies were called to a vehicle accident on Dixie Mine Trail. A woman struck a parked vehicle after picking up a friend at a party. The friend was upset and distracted the driver as they left the party.

*On Saturday, March 15, deputies investigated a private property vehicle accident in a parking lot in the 13000 block of Verde River Drive. The driver was backing from a parking spot and struck a vehicle behind them.

*On Friday, March 21, a driver collided with the rear of a second vehicle that was stopped on Palisades Boulevard northbound at Sunridge Drive. They were cited for failure to control their vehicle.

*On Saturday, March 22, a Fountain Hills man reported someone stole the license plate from his vehicle. He also reported someone had been scratching his vehicle causing damage for several weeks.

*On Monday, March 24 a woman reported loud noise from motorcycles was disturbing her at her residence in the 16000 block of Bobwhite Drive in the Rio Verde Foothills area.

*On Wednesday, March 26, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone attempted to open a credit card account in her name and filed income taxes using her personal information.

*On Thursday, March 27, a woman reported her husband had pointed a gun at her as she left their residence on N. 136th Street. He told deputies he came out to investigate a noise, but did not point the gun at her. Deputies took no action without witness collaboration.

*On Thursday, March 27, a man reported someone removed a paint sprayer valued at $3,200 from a work trailer parked in the 14000 block of Sherwood Drive.

*On Thursday, March 27, a resident of the 16000 block of Bainbridge Drive reported the theft of a freestanding outdoor light valued at $150.

*On Thursday, March 27, a Fountain Hills woman reported two of her friends were fighting at a residence in the 16000 block of Carmel Drive. They were arguing over the use of a swimming pool cleaner that escalated into a physical altercation. A man was arrested for domestic violence disorderly conduct.

*On Tuesday, March 25, deputies investigated a two-vehicle collision at Saguaro Boulevard and La Montana Drive. A vehicle traveling east on La Montana pulled away from the stop sign and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Saguaro. The drivers were treated on the scene by fire department medics.

*On Monday, March 31, a man contacted MCSO about a check his mother had been given for the liquidation of her residence totaling $27,000. In a couple of attempts to cash the check they were told there were insufficient funds.

*On Friday, March 28, a motorist traveling south on Saguaro was struck by a westbound vehicle traveling through the intersection at Shea Boulevard against the traffic light. The westbound vehicle continued without stopping.

*On Tuesday, April 1, a woman reported several items missing from her home after she allowed a woman not known to her to stay for several days.

*On Wednesday, March 19, a Fountain Hills resident reported someone used his identification information to file a fraudulent tax return with the IRS.

*On Wednesday, March 19, deputies investigated a collision on Saguaro Boulevard near El Lago Boulevard. A vehicle slowing for a shopping center driveway was struck from behind by a northbound vehicle.
