Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Canadian man with no known local address on disorderly conduct and aggravated assault charges Friday, March 7.
Deputies responded to a report of a man in the street yelling near Quinto and Salida drives off Saguaro Boulevard. The man was uncooperative and received citations for disorderly conduct/noise, resisting arrest, providing false information to a law enforcement officer, obstructing a public thoroughfare and failure to provide identification.
At about the same time another deputy responded to a report of a fight at a bar along Saguaro Boulevard. The deputy found the bar locked, and a bartender in the process of locking up said there had been no fight there all evening.

Deputies responded to a report of a man in the street yelling near Quinto and Salida drives off Saguaro Boulevard. The man was uncooperative and received citations for disorderly conduct/noise, resisting arrest, providing false information to a law enforcement officer, obstructing a public thoroughfare and failure to provide identification.
At about the same time another deputy responded to a report of a fight at a bar along Saguaro Boulevard. The deputy found the bar locked, and a bartender in the process of locking up said there had been no fight there all evening.
The deputy located a man in the neighborhood who reported he was walking home from the bar across Saguaro Boulevard when he was assaulted by another man.
The assault suspect is the same person as the man arrested for disorderly conduct and a charge of aggravated assault was added as he was booked into jail.
*On Monday, March 3, a resident reported that someone has stolen a battery from his vehicle while it was in a parking lot in the 15000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard. The vehicle was unlocked and a window was open. The battery is valued at $135.
*On Monday, Feb. 24, deputies responded to the 27000 block of N. 174th Street in the Rio Verde Foothills area when they received a report that a man had pointed a gun at a neighbor known to him as a Phoenix Police officer. The officer disarmed the man and the two had a discussion over a long-running dispute over a property easement. The man wanted the officer charged with assault. The report was forwarded to the County Attorney for review.
*On Friday, March 7, a Fountain Hills woman reported she had received a phone call from a man who is a defendant in an order of protection.
*On Saturday, March 8, deputies were called regarding a dispute on Chama Drive. Two women reportedly got into a fight as one was moving out of the residence. Both were cited and booked into jail.
*On Saturday, March 1, deputies received a report that someone had stolen the car batteries from two vehicles parked in the area of Del Cambre and Calaveras avenues. Windows in the vehicles were damaged.
*On Thursday, Feb. 13, deputies received a report that a vehicle parked in the 12000 block of Chama Drive was struck by an unknown vehicle.
*On Friday, Feb. 14, deputies investigated a collision on Shea Boulevard at Plaza Drive. A vehicle making a left turn out of the fast food plaza collided with a vehicle making a left turn into the plaza parking lot.
*On Monday, March 3, deputies received a report that someone had placed dirt across a wash that resulted in water backing up onto private property.
*On Saturday, March 8, a Fountain Hills woman reported her watch was stolen by a man she was showing it to see if he was interested in buying the watch. The woman said the man took the watch outside to look at it in daylight and drove off with it. She had contacted the man and was making arrangements to have it returned.
*On Monday, March 10, a Fountain Hills Fire Department engine received minor damage when it struck the building as it was being driven into the bay at Fire Station No. 2.
*On Tuesday, March 11, a Fountain Hills man, age 19, was cited for excessive speed on McDowell Mountain Road north of Fountain Hills. The man was recorded traveling 90 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45.
*On Tuesday, Feb. 25, a resident in the 15000 block of Greystone Drive reported someone had tossed a rock through the window of their vehicle and removed a purse with bank cards and $300 cash. The cards were cancelled, but not before one was used at a Payson Walmart.
*On Wednesday, March 12, a resident in the 15000 block of Sunflower Drive reported that someone had cut a hole in a convertible top to get access into their vehicle. Nothing was found to be missing.
*On Wednesday, March 12, deputies responded to a burglary report at the Dollar Tree Store in the Target shopping center. Deputies found broken glass from an entry door and it appeared that someone attempted to break into the office. The store manager arrived and told deputies nothing was gone from the office, but it was undetermined whether anything was missing from the store.
