Deputies located the man near Shea and Saguaro boulevards, where he was sitting and obviously in severe pain.
The man was suffering from a stab wound to his groin area. He said the attack was by an unknown female subject and it occurred in a drainage culvert where he is living.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies received a report Tuesday, Jan. 28, from an urgent care facility in Fountain Hills about a seriously injured man who had left the facility.
Deputies located the man near Shea and Saguaro boulevards, where he was sitting and obviously in severe pain.
The man was suffering from a stab wound to his groin area. He said the attack was by an unknown female subject and it occurred in a drainage culvert where he is living.
The woman apparently attacked the man when she found out he was a convicted sex offender.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Deputies helped Scottsdale police locate the crime scene along Shea Boulevard near 142nd Street. Scottsdale Police are investigating the attack.
The man was to be taken into custody upon his release from the hospital for failing to report to Maricopa County officials as a convicted sex offender.
*On Thursday, Jan. 28, a Fountain Hills resident reported a bicycle valued at $300 was taken from a church in the 15000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard.
*On Sunday, Feb. 2, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested following a complaint she was being disorderly using loud abusive language in the 13000 block of Hamilton Drive. Deputies heard the loud conversation when they arrived on the scene and the woman refused to cooperate with deputies and was also cited for resisting arrest (passive).
*On Sunday, Feb. 2, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man after they made a traffic stop for failing to stop for a stop sign. The man was also found to have a suspended license, no proof of insurance and an outstanding warrant from Tempe Police.
*On Monday, Feb. 13, deputies received three separate reports of criminal damage to vehicles. In each case the vehicles were written on with a black marker. The reports came from the 13000 block of Cambria Drive and two in the 16000 block of Westby Drive.
*On Friday, Jan. 31, deputies received a report that a Fountain Hills man, 47, is suspected of having sexual contact with a Fountain Hills juvenile female, age 16. Several incidents allegedly occurred in Tempe and Fountain Hills. The victim and her parents were taken to Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit detectives to pursue the investigation.
*On Thursday, Jan. 30, a Fountain Hills juvenile male, age 11, allegedly made threats to kill someone after being teased and becoming upset during a PE class. He passed a note to a friend and the incident was reported.
*On Friday, Jan. 24, a Fountain Hills woman reported a motorcycle valued at $14,300 was stolen from her garage in the 15000 block of Twilight View. The garage was left open.
*On Thursday, Jan. 30, a Fountain Hills woman reported two unknown female subjects stole several ladies garments from a laundry room in the community building at the Saguaro Woods complex in the 14000 block of Teakwood Lane.
*On Sunday, Feb. 2, a Fountain Hills man was arrested following a traffic stop. He was stopped for speeding and was displaying a fictitious license plate.
*On Friday, Jan. 31, a Fountain Hills man was arrested for making threatening statements. A man reported his father had been chasing his sister with a pitchfork and making threats to her and her friends. Deputies forwarded the report to the town prosecutor for possible charges of domestic violence disorderly conduct and domestic violence threats.
*On Thursday, Feb. 6, a Fountain Hills man was cited for DUI after he collided with a security gate at the Palisades Boulevard entry into FireRock Country Club.
*On Friday, Feb. 7, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage after her husband reported she had been drinking and smoking marijuana. She was yelling and throwing things around the house.
*On Saturday, Feb. 8, a Fort McDowell woman was arrested for extreme DUI after she was stopped for speeding and failing to stop for a stop sign.
*On Saturday, Feb. 8, a Fountain Hills man was arrested for theft of services after he refused to pay a cab driver a $102 fare after being driven to Fountain Hills from 99th Avenue and McDowell Road in Phoenix.
