According to deputies the woman’s vehicle went off the roadway and continued across two yards before coming to a stop. There was damage to utility equipment in the right-of-way, landscaping and two windows in the home where the vehicle finally stopped.
The woman was cited for failure to control her speed to avoid a collision, expired registration, no proof of insurance and failure to wear a seatbelt.

*On Friday, Nov. 22, a deputy responding to a possible accident along Shea Boulevard west of Fountain Hills Boulevard found a vehicle 100 feet into a ravine near Palatial Drive. There were no people around the scene of the accident, and it was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen to Mesa Police earlier.
*On Saturday, Nov. 9, a Fountain Hills resident reported someone used their identification information to open a credit card account.
*On Friday, Nov. 8, a Fountain Hills man reported a window broken in his vehicle parked in a parking lot near Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards. The victim provided deputies with suspect information.
*On Friday, Nov. 15, deputies responded to the Holiday Inn on Saguaro Boulevard after guests reported a man sitting in a car in the parking lot at the back of the hotel was threatening and harassing guests. The suspect had left the scene when deputies arrived.
*On Saturday, Nov. 16, a Fountain Hills man was arrested for extreme DUI after he was stopped for making an improper turn.
*On Saturday, Nov. 16, a Mesa man was involved in a single-vehicle accident on McDowell Mountain Road north of Fountain Hills. He went off the roadway and into a ditch. He was cited for failure to control his speed.
*On Sunday, Nov. 17, the Fountain Hills Target store reported that a Fountain Hills juvenile was observed putting video games into his backpack. The games had an estimated value of $128.
*On Wednesday, Nov. 20, a Fountain Hills resident reported someone removed GPS equipment from two vehicles parked in the 10000 block of Indian Wells Drive. The cars were not locked.
*On Thursday, Nov. 21, a Scottsdale man was injured when he fell from his bicycle on McDowell Mountain Road between Rio Verde and the park entrance. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
On Friday, Nov. 22, deputies received a call from a homeless man and a woman who were camped near the wash in Golden Eagle Park. They were concerned for their safety due to heavy rain. The two were treated for hypothermia- related symptoms and the man was taken into custody for an outstanding arrest warrant and the woman was cited for trespassing.
*On Friday, Nov. 22, deputies found a fire hydrant was damaged after apparently being struck by a vehicle. Water was shooting into the air, but there were no vehicles or people in the area.
*On Friday, Nov. 22, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for DUI after she ran into a Sheriff’s patrol vehicle near Avenue of the Fountains and La Montana Drive. A deputy was stopped at the intersection when he observed that the woman had run up over the curb and into the median. He left his vehicle and approached the woman and she backed off the median and ran head on into the parked patrol car. There was only minor damage to the vehicles.
*On Saturday, Nov. 23, a Fountain Hills man was cited for criminal speeding on McDowell Mountain Road after he was observed traveling at 68 miles per hour in the rain. The posted speed limit is 45 miles per hour.
*On Monday, Nov. 25, a Phoenix man was cited for several offenses after a deputy stopped his vehicle for having a severely cracked windshield. Besides the broken windshield he was cited for driving with a suspended license, no proof of insurance and littering after he tossed a cigarette butt out the window after the deputy stopped him.
*On Wednesday, Nov. 13, a Fountain hills woman was cited for disorderly conduct after she went to a house in the 14000 block of Galatea Drive and was shouting and pounding on the door and ringing the bell trying to get a babysitter to release a child that belonged to the woman’s ex-girlfriend.
*On Tuesday, Nov. 26, a Fountain Hills man reported someone had removed items from his vehicle while it was parked in the 17000 block of Salida Drive. The vehicle was not locked and one of several reported vehicle break-ins in the vicinity.
*On Tuesday, Nov. 26, deputies investigated an accident in the 16000 block of Ashbrook Drive. A motorist was traveling between vehicles parked on either side of the street when he swerved to avoid two vehicles approaching from the other direction. He collided with a parked vehicle.
