A nurse at the skilled care facility on the campus called MCSO to report a conversation she just had with a woman identifying herself as the daughter of a patient.
The nurse said the woman complained about the service and care that her mother was receiving and asked that things be changed. When the nurse explained there were things she could not change without doctor authority, the woman told her, “I will just have to blow the facility up.”

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reports that the Fountain View Village senior residential facility received a bomb threat early Monday evening, Dec. 16.
A nurse at the skilled care facility on the campus called MCSO to report a conversation she just had with a woman identifying herself as the daughter of a patient.
The nurse said the woman complained about the service and care that her mother was receiving and asked that things be changed. When the nurse explained there were things she could not change without doctor authority, the woman told her, “I will just have to blow the facility up.”
Staff immediately locked down the facility and called the Sheriff’s Office.
The building was searched and deputies talked with the suspect’s mother who was uncooperative.
After a K-9 deputy searched the facility and found nothing, deputies stood down and released the scene. Staff was told to report anything that was remotely suspicious or just didn’t feel right.
Prosecutors will be asked to consider charges for threatening and intimidating and use of electronic communication to terrify.
*On Monday, Dec. 9, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man for disorderly conduct after he got into a verbal altercation with a clerk at the municipal court. The man was arrested after he was warned three times to refrain from yelling and using vulgar and abusive language.
*On Tuesday, Dec. 10, a Fountain Hills woman was cited for excessive speed after she was observed traveling 58 miles per hour on Saguaro Boulevard where the speed limit is 35. She was also cited for a seatbelt violation and failure to notify MVD of an address change within 10 days.
*On Saturday, Dec. 14, deputies were called to the scene of a vehicle accident on 156th Street and Redbird Road. A vehicle making a left turn from Redbird collided head-on with a vehicle traveling on 156th Street. Speed was low and there were no injuries.
*On Sunday, Dec. 15, a woman reported someone broke a window in her vehicle and stole her purse while it was parked near Saguaro Boulevard and Tower Drive.
*On Wednesday, Nov. 20, a Fountain Hills man reported that a weapon was stolen from his vehicle that was parked in the 17000 Aloe Way.
*On Friday, Nov. 29, deputies received a report that a window was broken out of a vehicle parked near Kingstree Blvd. and Mangrum Drive.
*On Friday, Dec. 6, a resident reported someone had littered the roadway on Nelson Drive near Trevino Drive with beer cans.
*On Wednesday, Dec. 11, two suspects left a restaurant in the 16000 block of Shea Boulevard without paying their bill for $31.
*On Wednesday, Dec. 11, a Mesa man was involved in a single-vehicle accident on McDowell Mountain Road north of Fountain Hills. The man was southbound when he drifted off the pavement and struck the guardrail. He was not injured.
*On Tuesday, Dec. 10, a 14-yer-old male juvenile is believed to have given a classmate at Fountain Hills Middle School a candy mint laced with dangerous drugs. The friend asked for the mint and was told after he ingested it that it had been laced with drugs. The next day the friend complained of dizziness and nausea and a container containing the candy is being tested for drug residue.
*On Saturday, Nov. 30, a Fountain Hills woman was cited for shoplifting at the Fountain Hills Target store. She was observed on a security camera concealing jewelry merchandise valued at $45.
*On Saturday, Dec. 14, deputies received a report of graffiti damage on a perimeter wall around the Fountain Hills Sanitary District facility in the 16000 block of Pepperwood Drive. It is estimated that the cost of repair would be $500.
*On Tuesday, Dec. 17, an unidentified male suspect attempted to remove alcoholic beverages valued at $650 from the Safeway store in Fountain Hills. The man was observed leaving the store with a shopping cart filled with alcohol. He fled when confronted by an employee in the parking lot.
