Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies, responding to a report of loud music at a residence in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard on Friday, Oct. 25, cited five people on alcohol violations.

A deputy reported that he was seen as he approached the residence at which time several others were seen scattering into other rooms of the home.

When the deputy knocked on the door the occupants would not respond for some time. When a 17-year-old male who lived at the home answered the door he was uncooperative with deputies and would not acknowledge that anyone else was there.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies, responding to a report of loud music at a residence in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard on Friday, Oct. 25, cited five people on alcohol violations.

A deputy reported that he was seen as he approached the residence at which time several others were seen scattering into other rooms of the home.

When the deputy knocked on the door the occupants would not respond for some time. When a 17-year-old male who lived at the home answered the door he was uncooperative with deputies and would not acknowledge that anyone else was there.

The deputy reported the male approached him in a threatening manner at which time he was taken into custody and placed in hand cuffs.

Deputies found four others hiding behind doors in bedrooms and bathrooms in the residence.

Three males and one female were cited for underage consumption of alcohol. Those who were minors were released to a parent. The adults present were released on their own.

The 17-year-old living at the residence was also cited for furnishing alcohol to minors and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The suspect said his parents allowed the party at home because they believe kids would drink anyway and they should do it at home. Deputies told the youth his parents were wrong.

*On Wednesday, Oct. 23, deputies cited a Fort McDowell male juvenile, 15, on drug charges at Fountain Hills High School. The youth was found in possession of marijuana and the school principal called deputies. The youth was released to his mother and MCSO will be submitting charges to the juvenile county attorney related to possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and possession of marijuana in a Drug Free School Zone.

*On Monday, Oct. 28, deputies received a report of a burglary at a vacant commercial building on Desert Vista. It is believed entry was made through a vent in an electrical room. It appears the suspects may have tried to steel copper wiring in the building but stopped. Tools apparently used for trying to take the wiring were found at the scene.

*On Wednesday, Oct. 30, a Phoenix man was cited for tampering with an ignition interlock device he is required to have on his vehicle. The citation was made following a traffic stop for having a headlight out.

*On Tuesday, Oct. 29, deputies investigated a single-vehicle crash on Saguaro Boulevard. The vehicle went off the road causing damage to landscaping at the Baptist Church in the 10000 block of Saguaro Blvd. The driver was cited for failure to control his vehicle, no registration in the vehicle and no proof of insurance. He was not injured.

*On Saturday, Oct. 26, a woman involved in an altercation at a residence on Inca Ave. reported to deputies that she is pregnant and had been punched in the stomach. However, she would not identify her assailant and refused on-scene medical treatment. Deputies were not able to find a witness to the alleged attack.

*On Thursday, Oct. 24, a Mesa man was arrested for DUI on the Beeline Highway south of Shea. A deputy was attempting to locate a speeding motorist he had observed along Shea Boulevard in Fountain Hills when he observed erratic driving by a southbound pick-up. He stopped that vehicle and determined the man was driving under the influence.

*On Saturday, Oct. 26, deputies posted on the scene of an incident at the Comfort Inn on Shea Boulevard observed a truck pulling through the entry possibly strike the overhang canopy. The driver was stopped and said he was not aware he struck the building. The hotel manager told deputies he believes the truck driver is the same person who damaged the portico several weeks ago and asked that the man be trespassed from the property.

*On Monday, Oct. 28, deputies investigated an alleged fraud reported by a Fountain Hills man. The man said he received a call asking him to send a $2,500 gift card which would result in him receiving a new Mercedes automobile. The caller made contact with the man during the deputy’s investigation and became belligerent and kept calling back while deputies were on the scene.

*On Sunday, Oct. 27, a Fountain Hills woman called from out of state asking deputies to check on her residence after she received a phone call from her daughter. The daughter said she had been kidnapped and told to take them to her parents’ house in Fountain Hills. Deputies found some evidence of forced entry but found the door unlocked. Also, a laptop computer was apparently missing.

*On Sunday, Oct. 27, deputies received a report from a Rio Verde resident who had just returned for the season that their home had been burglarized and silver flatware and a tea set valued at $5,000 were missing.

*On Thursday, Oct. 17, deputies were called to the Circle K at Saguaro and Shea for a report that a couple was sitting in a vehicle arguing. A man and woman from Queen Creek were arrested for domestic violence, assault.

*On Friday, Oct. 25, a Fountain Hills bank reported a man from San Tan Valley attempted to cash a bogus check for $12,700.

*On Monday, Oct. 28, a resident of the 14000 block of Grandview reported two bicycles valued at $4,000 were stolen from their garage.

*On Thursday, Oct. 31, deputies investigated a collision at Boulder and Eagle Rock drives. A vehicle traveling north on Boulder collided with a vehicle pulling from Eagle Rock Drive. The driver exiting the side street was cited for an unsafe turn.

*On Thursday, Oct. 31, a Fountain Hills man was cited for disorderly conduct following an altercation with his neighbor in the 16000 block of Gunsight Drive.

*On Thursday, Oct. 31, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage after arguing with her husband at a Fountain Hills restaurant and knocking a glass of wine off the table.

* On Friday, Nov. 11, a resident of the 16000 block of Cholla Drive reported someone entered his garage and took golf clubs and equipment valued at $2,455.

*On Friday, Nov. 1, a Fountain Hills man was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop near La Montana Drive and Parkview Ave.
