Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man on drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday, Oct. 9.
The man was a passenger in the vehicle and he was found to be in possession of prescription drugs for sale (Viagra), heroin and crystal meth.
Deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence where he was staying in the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro.
The warrant was served the next day and at that time a woman was arrested for possession of narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The woman had been in the vehicle the previous day, but had been released with no violations found.
The man faces charges of unlawful possession of prescription drugs, prescription drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, heroin and meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 1, a resident living on 138th Street in Maricopa County reported stolen their 2008 Toyota Scion, which was parked at the residence.
*On Saturday, Oct. 5, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for assault on her daughter’s live-in roommate. She got into an argument with the 19-year-old male and allegedly kicked a car door catching his wrist between the door and the frame.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 1, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone used her personal and company credit card information at truck stops charging over $1,700.
*On Monday, Oct. 7, a Fountain Hills woman reported jewelry missing from her residence in the 14000 block of Prickly Pear. The jewelry was valued at about $4,000. She was uncertain when it had been taken.
*On Monday, Oct. 7, a Fountain Hills man was arrested for domestic violence disorderly conduct. The man allegedly verbally abused and threatened a 16-year-old male and punched a hole in the wall. The man was arrested at another location after a report of an attempted vehicle break-in. He also faces charges of domestic violence criminal damage, criminal trespass and littering.
*On Sunday, Oct. 6, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone entered her garage and removed a bicycle valued at $3,000 and a power drill.
*On Wednesday, Oct. 9, deputies arrested a man following a single-vehicle traffic accident near Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards. Deputies responded to a report of reckless driving after a man drove from the 4-Sons parking lot going the wrong way on Fountain Hills Boulevard, turning back traveling the wrong way heading back toward the intersection. They crossed to the correct side of the roadway as they passed through the intersection. The damaged vehicle was located on Ashbrook Drive with no driver. The driver was located about half mile north at Fountain Hills and Saguaro boulevards. A passenger in the vehicle was also located at a different location and confirmed the man driving had been drinking. The driver faces charged of extreme DUI, leaving the scene of a collision, reckless driving and providing false information to a police officer.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 8, a Chandler man was arrested for reckless driving on the Beeline Highway north of Fountain Hills. Deputies responded to assist DPS after a report of a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes about 10 miles north of the Bush Highway. Deputies located the vehicle near the Bush Highway and stopped it. The driver said he had not slept or had anything to eat in four or five days. He did not know where he was, or how he got there, and he had no recollection of nearly colliding with another vehicle. Deputies could find apparent no signs of drug or alcohol impairment.
*On Thursday, Oct. 3, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious male asking for help near 144th Street and Rio Verde Drive. The man told deputies he had been in an accident when he swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle and lost control.
*On Saturday, Oct. 5, a Fountain Hills man was cited for consuming alcohol in a public place when he was found at the intersection of Yerba Buena and Alamosa Ave.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 1, a Fountain Hills couple reported someone made withdrawals from their savings account totaling more than $14,000.
*On Wednesday, Oct. 9, a Fountain Hills man reported his caregivers had stolen $500 in cash from his home.
*On Thursday, Oct. 3, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone had forged at least 10 checks against her bank account totaling about $3,000.
*On Friday, Oct. 11, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for extreme DUI following a traffic stop and a Fountain Hills man who was a passenger in the vehicle was arrested for consumption of alcohol in a vehicle and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
