The victim reported he was at home with a friend when six male suspects forced their way in and one of them punched him in the face and they were all punching and kicking him.
The victim was able to identify one of the suspects as the boyfriend of a female friend of his. Deputies followed this lead in their investigation.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies received a report that a Fountain Hills male juvenile, 16, was assaulted at a residence in the 14000 block of Shiloh Way on Wednesday, July 24.
The victim reported he was at home with a friend when six male suspects forced their way in and one of them punched him in the face and they were all punching and kicking him.
The victim was able to identify one of the suspects as the boyfriend of a female friend of his. Deputies followed this lead in their investigation.
The friend of the victim left the residence and was not injured.
*On Monday, July 22, a man reported he was assaulted by an employee at the Circle K store at Shea and Saguaro boulevards. The victim said he was paying for a soda when the man behind the counter grabbed his arm and made threats. The clerk apparently believed one of the coins the man was using to pay was counterfeit. The report has been referred to the town prosecutor for possible disorderly conduct, assault and offensive language meant to provoke.
*On Monday, July 29, a Fountain Hills man reported that a woman he identified as a bank employee had used his personal information to open several bank accounts. The bank also became involved in this investigation.
*On Tuesday, July 30, a resident reported that their bicycle valued at $230 had been stolen from the area of the Fountain Hills Library.
*On Wednesday, July 31, deputies received a report that an unknown male had entered a residence in the 15000 block of Westridge Drive. He was seen on a security video, but the homeowner could not confirm that anything had been stolen.
*On Tuesday, July 6, deputies cited a Gilbert woman for criminal speed on Saguaro Boulevard. She was traveling 69 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35.
*On Monday, Aug. 5, Fountain Hills Target store personnel reported that an unidentified man had left the store with merchandise valued at $415 concealed on his person.
*On Monday, Oct. 12, a U-Haul agency in Fountain Hills reported a stolen truck after it had not been returned. The vehicle was past due on July 25.
*On Monday, Aug. 12, a Fountain Hills man reported that a woman with an Apache Junction address had damaged property and was causing a commotion in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard.
*On Tuesday, Aug. 13, the new owner of a residence in the 16000 block of Redbird Road in Maricopa County reported approximately $200,000 in damage to the property.
*On Wednesday, Aug. 14, a male juvenile was arrested after he was seen leaving a vehicle parked in the 16000 block of Westby Drive with a woman’s handbag. He faces charges of second degree burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia and threatening and intimidating.
*On Wednesday, Aug. 7, deputies received a report of a theft from a residence in the 15000 block of Eagle Rock Drive. An estimated $6,690 in jewelry had been taken. The owner suspects a man living with his granddaughter is responsible. Detectives are following up on the case.
*On Friday, Aug. 9, a resident of the 25000 block of Forest Road in Rio Verde reported his 27-yer-old son had fraudulently stole $500 from him.
*On Sunday, Aug. 11, an unidentified woman was seen taking a pair of shoes and a T-shirt from the Fountain Hills Target store without paying. The value of the merchandise is about $27.
*On Sunday, Aug. 18, a Fountain Hills man reported hearing a small explosion from a neighbor’s backyard the previous evening on Saturday, Aug. 17. Sunday morning the resident discovered a bush in his yard had burn damage and was still smoldering. Deputies talked with a woman at the residence who was not home the previous evening and was unaware of the incident. She told deputies she would talk with her husband about it.
*On Sunday, Aug. 18, a Fountain Hills woman who is a new teacher at Fountain Hills High School reported someone had written on her vehicle with washable paint as it was parked at her residence in the 14000 block of Oakwood Lane. The information was forwarded to the school resource officer.
*On Sunday, Aug. 18, a resident of the 17000 block of Hawley Drive reported a neighbor injured or unconscious lying in the driveway. Deputies found a male subject, 20, who had been drinking and passed out. He was transported to a Scottsdale hospital for treatment. The town prosecutor was forwarded the information for possible charges for minor possession of alcohol.
